Xbox 360 SSF4 LEAGUE -Season 3-

Ok, so elrasho and I just played but we're gonna need a ruling.

Game 1 is at 1 round each, we're level on life and then lag hits really bad. The kind of lag that comes from live lagging, the screen will freeze up and then some of your commands that you input will then play out once the game catches up again, the game remains laggy and I get caught by a U2 to give elrasho the win.

He takes the next game, but I've asked him to replay the first one since it wouldn't have been fair on either winner. Elrasho agrees and I win the next two games. Very same lag spike happens in the 5th game that we play also, the 6th ran smooth.

I wouldnt class that as very laggy, more like a 4 second stutter and it didnt lag when you jumped into my ultra, lag was before that

I didn't record it live and yeah when it lags you bet your arse I'm gonna make sure those DPs come out like my name's ken masters.

In the replay where I get hit by the ultra, there was lag. You'll actually see I was going for the tatsu to go over like I did a couple other times to pop a demon from the other side, the tatsu just didn't come out for some reason. I don't really wanna turn this into a slagging match, it's a bit silly to.

Lag SUCKS for charge characters. You definitely can't just say whoever wins a laggy game is the victor. No way.

Well I suppose whatever I say in this situation will be disliked by someone, but based on:

1- both you guys agreeing to replay the first game
2- overall activity in this thread & availability for league games

Zid goes through.

Please can one of you save the replay, I'll come online at 7 to record it and I'll try upload it tonight.

First time there has been a lag issue since the leagues started, had to happen at some point I suppose but it was right of elrasho to allow a replay.

If in future lag hits a game bad, and it does sometimes come out of nowhere, the game must be replayed. Thanks for bringing this issue up I will have to make everyone aware of it for season 4.

Zid goes through because hes more active!? Your reasoning is a joke... like saying Zid goes through because hes more popular or hes my mate. What if its a tiny but of lag for 1 second does the game need to be replayed then aswell? No more Mr Nice Guy

Sort your rules out.

He hasn't done it on that reason alone dude, if at all.

Imagine if there was a rule to say that lag doesn't matter. I'd just get some downloads going and then play adon and spam all of his safe specials. Consider also that if it was best 3/5 I'd have won also, as we played more after.

Like I said the second it happened. It wouldn't have been fair for either person to get that win.

Well tbh posting in the thread, arranging and being available for games, are actually part of the rules in the league otherwise it just wouldn't run. I have made specific mention of it in the next one and definately intend on enforcing it.

The fiver he sent me over paypal had nothing to do with it.

Obviously that would be blatent cheating, our lag was tiny. Those games after were friendlys, i was testing to see what beats mashing DP and teleport

Shame about the lag there's nothing I hate more. In FPS games and such I can sometimes cope with it but in Street Fighter... just no

Me vs Zid in finals then I look forward to it!

I'm also looking into getting a capture card to record gameplay, not exactly sure how they work but I'm looking into it. Doubt I will have it set up in time for the finals. Hopefully Zid can record the matches.
