xbox dashboard update.

Well, i have to say im thoroughly impressed with this update, streaming divx and xvid from my pc flawlessly. Now im in a bit of a pickle as i was going to buy a media streamer, but im not sure i need one now...
 
Everything is working for me playback wise, the only problem i have is that even though i have renamed my AVI's on the machine its streamed from they seem to retain their old names on the xbox. I'm abit stumped by it and thought that some kind of tag may be embedded so i downloaded abc AVI tag editor and cant see anything embedded :(

Anyone help?
 
Whilst were on the topic of Pal-50-60 Ive just downloaded "Feeding Frenzy" again off the marketplace (an arcade game that came out last year) but its telling me it cant play because im running on PAL-50 and it needs PAL-60. I'm using the 360 VGA cable and I cant see a setting to turn it to PAL-60. Any ideas? :(

This is also confusing because Oblivion requires Pal 60 and it runs fine? Im sure I have other games that require it too and I haven't had a problem?

Hmm, I'm having an infuriating problem after the update, my controllers now refuse to pair with my 360 and I have to manually connect them every time.
Anyone any ideas on this?
 
Am I doing something wrong, using XP and Media Player 11 I used to be able to stream music and video over the network, I can't seem to do this anymore, it says I need media centre, is this something they've changed, I'm seriously annoyed if they have!

edit/ o you just press X and change the source :p

Only downside to the upgrade for me is some music player changes, You used to beable to browse an Album, and hit Y to play the whole thing, But now. Once something is playing, Browsing an Album and pressing Y just takes you to the music player. Other than that, I'm Full of praise

I have a feeling i have read something about that regarding playlists, if i come across it again i'll post it :)

Ah.. it was Feeding Frenzy that I too had the PAL50 problem with. I'm thinking it's just this game as no one else seems to be mentioning it!
 
Sorted my filename probs, i just copied the movies to another folder and then back again, all filenames are now correct.

Just need to sort the cover art now :)
 
Pity, that is the only thing I am really waiting for, it can't be that hard to add a few more resolutions to the thing! :confused:
 
My 360 has been having mini 0.5 to 2 second freezes since the update :confused: Not sure if its related or not or if its 360 No.2 on its way out :rolleyes:

Mine was doing this on the day I got the update, i read somewhere it was to do with the LIVE service (probably flat out updating 360's) and not the actual update.
