Yeah I had my concerns until he made that saw blade thing, hopefully that indicates they haven't lost that aspect.

But as you said you don't play racing or FPS games then you would not really be experiencing the control pad to the fullest, so you have side skirted the most common complaints about the DS3 due to the sticks and silly triggers.

But really the DS3 debate is long done to death and there is no need to defend it to the bitter end :p:p

PS controls are made for tiny little boy hands, where as the xbox one is beast.

sad but true, I don't care about the price/DRM/online/BS/I got this you got that lets fight over a bit of metal debate/little nancy boys getting hurt over what company screws you the hardest.

I just want a machine that is going to last, and creates enjoyment for myself and the family.


Not getting either on launch anyway so will be much easier to pick what one is better for me after both have been out for 6+ months.

They've made good changes, the size, thumbsticks being concave and triggers not curving inwards (the fact they didn't work that out for the PS3 is baffling) The stick placement is annoying but they were never going to change that. This should be in the PS4 thread :p

The PS4 has everthing going for it:
Price, Spec, Looks, Policy, The attitude of the company that make it.

But there are two things that stop it form being a done deal,
The controller for me, Is just wrong. It is effectively the same design in basic form as a PS1 Dualshock, A controller I didn't like when it was new around 17 years ago....
Now I know its a subject that divides opinion, Certainly I can understand it had its fans (In the PS2 era I can get it anyway). But beyond then, to me, its dated and motion capture or no its the only way you actually interact with the console.
This is something which is compounded by the fact that to me the XBOX1 pad looks fantastic

Secondly the other thing in its way is Forza. I spent at least 50% of the xbox 360's lifecycle playing a Forza title. So to ignore it is stupid? How can I NOT buy one of my favourite titles again?
I would like to settle for GT but ultimately Forza IS my favourite racing game.

The above points make it seem like its the XBOX1 then, But I honestly feel like I cannot give MS my money, The way they are treating the consumer is just moronic. But really, I just feel bad for Turn 10.
If Forza was on the PS4 I could get over the controller thing.
