**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

... Seriously?

I don't applaud them, they got things wrong and they only changed because they clearly were losing the battle for pre orders with the Playstation.
Well of course they wouldn't have changed it if they were ahead in the pre-orders. It shows they listened to consumers and made changes. I applaud any company who is willing to do that.

The customer base screamed out in outrage to start with, no communication from Microsoft, could easily have come out and said they will review the changes.

Only when they saw how poorly they were doing in pre orders did they change.

Second step should be binning Don "If you don't like it buy an Xbobx 360" Mattrick off, that should get potential customers back on side.

These aren't benefits that outweigh what they were trying to take away. And what is all this stuff you keep referring to that everyone else seemed to miss during the MS conference that made what they were offering so fantastic? I've asked three times now and you still haven't shared it with us.

Not trying to wind anyone up here, just want to know what I missed with their original plans!

Not shared it with you? Are you kidding.

No no benefits, they gave you huge benefits whilst keeping as much as technically possible the benefits of physical.

All games are linked to you account, signing in anywhere on any xbox means you can play. Now that is gone as there's no DRM.

Well, anywhere that had an internet connection & that is not gone, you just take the disc with you, like before.

The fact that the crap obviously isn't integral to the system and how they acted and responded pre-E3 just shows that they were waiting to see how pre-orders numbers were. Otherwise they would have done this before E3 when there was already a massive amount of discontent amongst consumers and media.

What do you mean by 'game anywhere'?
Your profile and game collection was stored online. I could come around to your house, sign in with my profile, and have complete access to my entire game collection, with DLC and saves.

Admittedly we'd have to download the games to play them, but the feature was there.

And how many places don't have an Internet connection?
And no, it has gone. Always going to have every disc on you? going to back up all your progress and achivments and take that with you? Going to have DLC burnt to a disc as well? I don't think so.

+ 1.

Then you can't really claim to game anywhere, as you can only game somewhere with an internet connection, even then you would have to wait for downloads.

Still £80 to dear, still elements not working outside USA , still I will stick to ps4, shall get xbox1 year later maybe for cheaper price or whatever happens to it down the line

I wonder what the changes will mean in regards to save games. Before the announcement, all saves were being done through the cloud, so that if I went to a friends house, my saves would be there. Now that these changes have been made, will all saves revert to my local drive instead? Wouldn't mind some clarification on that.

Well, if you have an Xbox One (under previous restrictions), then you obviously had the internet. Now you're just arguing for the sake of it.

I guess it will now be down to the developer.
