**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Hmmm...whilst the Xbox One is slightly more tempting than it was a few weeks ago I just wish MS would stop messing about, and back tracking on features etc! I've been an xbox user for a number of years now but at the moment I'm still getting a PS4 as I'm more interested in the likes of Infamous and Killzone.

I'm sure, however, both consoles will turn out great like the previous/current gen and whichever one people get they'll be happy with it.

Yeah, the Day One stuff is nothing special, but considering it costs nothing over the standard edition, it's what I've gone for, same with the games I'm interested in at launch (DR3 and Forza 5).

Just had a look at the launch titles and I'd quite fancy FIFA, COD, Battlefield, Dead Rising, Watch Dogs and Forza. No way that's happening!

FIFA is a must, and probably COD. Games that hold their value for months.

Anywhere got any offers on the games, and are these exclusive editions at GAME just additional DLC?

Dead Rising 3 and Forza 5 are just the "Day One" games that I'm after. I've also pre-ordered BF4, Fifa 14, Watch Dogs and Lego Marvel Super Heroes :D

The Day One editions just have a little extra DLC, nothing game changing but it's at no extra cost so that's the version I've gone for. No deals yet that I've seen, I've just ordered the Day One games from Game as they're the only place that sells them, and the rest I've pre-ordered from ShopTo. They've always done right by me in the past so even if they're a couple of quid more expensive there, I'll stick with them.
 
I cancelled my Ryse pre-order. I think it's one i'll pick up a little later on. Just too much money at once and I had forgot to factor in an Xbox Live subscription. So now i'm down to:

Xbox Day one
Controller
Headset
Forza
Dead Rising
Kinect Sports Rivals
Fifa
Lego Marvel

The thing that gets me about Game is that they are down at £1 with them announcing the prices later, you just know they aren't going to be as competitive in general and add in their exclusive stuff and I'd be surprised if they weren't at least a fiver more.

Just realised that FIFA will already be out on the 360 for a couple of months you would think before the One launches. Wonder if I can resist it for that long.

Where have you preordered the console from? I've got one at Game and one at ShopTo, however I genuinely have no idea how the ShopTo preorder system works. It just seems to sit there as a preorder with no actual order.

I've used ShopTo for my console pre-order, and I think they process them on a first-come first-served method. I got my pre-order in ages ago so hopefully I should be fine. I guess I should look at a backup pre-order elsewhere as well though, just to be safe.
