**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Yeah which sucks massively, that's far to much money a year.
MS need to change it, they want xbox as a media box as well as a console, but to use it properly you need multiple subs, depending how many you have.

Should be one account per house.

My understanding is different. I thought on the main console you can be signed out and all guests can use your gold, but if you use another console you need to be logged in and have gold.

'Even if you sign off, your friends and family can enjoy multiplayer gaming while they are playing on your Home Xbox One console.'

All sounds good to me, ideal for families who have more than one gamer in the house, you only need one Xbox Live sub per console.

Wish they'd kept the family account, we have 3 360's and 3 separate accounts in this house. Family account was ideal for us.

Jesus, how many Xbox's do you have in your house? I have two, one in the living room, and one in my computer room upstairs, and I get by just fine with one Gold subscription.

If you only have two Xbox One's in the future, you should only need one Gold subscription. You can set your living room console (or whatever) as your "Home" console, and everyone who uses that can use Xbox Live Gold, irrespective of whether you're signed in or not. You can then use your other account on your second Xbox One, and still get all the benefits of Live.

It's a positive change, yet it's not enough for you?

Yeah, that would've been good for them to keep, though I imagine it wouldn't work so well with the new way they want to implement Gold subs.

MS need to change it,

They don't need to change it. It makes very little sense to allow the same account to be logged onto multiple consoles at the same time. That way people would be able to pay for one copy of a digital game, put the account on their mates consoles and then get all their mates playing it as well. That makes no sense at all.

Is it me, or does there seem to be a plentiful supply of "Day One" SKUs? I've not seen a single place that's said it's out of stock (or whatever the term would be for a pre-order!)

It's not just a game console, and there's all sorts of stuff they could do. Like if its on the same network or something. Or make the PVR stuff available and just kick yu from games.

If you have two xboxs one in lounge and one in bedroom. You can't watch two things at once unless you pay an extra £40 a year or whatever it is, that is stupid.
One person can't even Skype while the other watches netflix.

Yes, they can, assuming we're talking about Xbox One here. I explained how above.
