**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

I don't mean to slate Very, its just I have never used them before. So for new release of a console I personally just wouldn't use them. As you mentioned though surely their website on your order would tell you when they "estimate" it to be delivered. If they say on their website they estimate a delivery to you for the 29th of Nov that is not good enough for me. I certainly would not trust someone over the phone telling me don't worry we "understand gamers" you will get it on time. Unless I have it in writing I wouldn't believe any retailer that says one thing over the phone and another thing on my account page.

My Amazon order says expected delivery 22 Nov. I'm happy with that :D

Few friends have seperate e-mails from that though, For example friend got an e-mail stating due to pre-ordering before 6th septermeber he will get a day one edition on 22nd, They never listed Day One Editions on site all there consol listings have a part on main page saying

"Orders placed up to and including 6th September are for the Day One Edition and for delivery on day of release. Any orders placed after 6th September will be put in a queue and prioritised on a first come, first served basis, as soon as further stocks become available. At this time we expect delivery before Christmas."

@Mark1989

That's fair enough if there is a notice or so about it. If I'm honest I didn't even look at their website :p

Also does anyone know if anything has been confirmed about controlling Sky TV or equivalent from your XO yet ? or no love for the UK/EU yet on the TV front.

Just pre-ordered from Currys as I think I'd prefer Forza over Fifa. Need to cancel my Microsoft Store pre-order now.

Ahh, might hold out till Christmas then. Do you only get a free headset with the day one edition or does it come with the normal units as well?

All units will come with the headset. The day one machines just have the "extra" free game (Forza5/FIFA14) and different colour/stickers on controller iirc.

showing 29 nov for me but they already told me in an email im guaranteed a factory to door courier on launch day morning before 10am. They said they haven't updated anyones expected shipping dates from default yet and it'll all change to the correct date 5-7 days before once the packages are scanned in.

May be worth calling them again, someone on a well known AV forum site has called them...

"bad news from Very i am afraid.

It would appear that every one who has ordered the xbox one from them, regardless of when they ordered it, will have to wait until 24th december before they recieve it.

just rang them up and the guy said "oh yeah, we had a memo about that. basically there was more demand than we thought we would get, which has pushed it all back right across the board"

so i wouldn't get your hopes up chaps of getting one on release day from Very, regardless of what they are telling you."

Looks like Very haven't a clue what they're doing.

I'll make sure to leave a feedback in this thread alongside other very orders on the morning of arrival so that you know for next consoles if they are any good or not. Apparently they were stunningly perfect for the xbox 360.

just phoned and confirmed i'm on for day one and have got the email to prove it too. free forza for my august order and delivered day one. Also I've googled your quote - it doesnt exist. I half expect you're on preorder with very and are not getting it launch day so by getting some people to cancel you think you might go up the list. I pray you are not like that :)

Disappointing news for the people who ordered from Very, does anyone know how Currys are with pre-orders? As i might give them a try, also does anybody know if they take the money when ordered or dispatched?

I doubt Very were exceptional for the 360 release, they were only established in 2009.

They were originally part of the Shop Direct network which merged with Littlewoods around 2004/2005, then re-branded and re-launched as Very in 2009. I think it was originally the Additions line of shops.

Oh, and if you got your 360 on December 5th that was actually 3 days late, as it released December 2nd in the EU :)

I heard those who ordered from Very if their console isnt delivered on release day Holly Willoughbooby delivers it personally when its in stock.:D
