Just what I heard from Amazon today, you got over 1k 5 stars and 543 1 stars, all the 1 stars are DOA's , died after short usage or bricked after update.
In fact it seems the majority of reviews are not from VERIFIED PURCHASERS. There's active fan forums urging people to come and leave 5 star reviews to counteract the negative reviews

So that's 0.0543%. Does that really worry you?!

Of course, they may be more failures and there may be some bogus failure reviews so I'm not saying that figure is a hard fact. I'm just using it as an illustration as to why worrying about the amazon reviews is madness.

EDIT: just to reiterate, yes amazon won't be the sole seller of the console, and there will be failures from elsewhere. But judging amazon reviews is silly.

It does when it seems people that have not even purchased the system have been urged on forums to post positive reviews to counteract the negative ones, not really good that.

It will be interesting to see how the Xbox goes just hope it doesn't have the obvious issues the PS4 has atm.

Why does it bother the individual this much though :D

It's simple at the end of the day, You buy the console and you get a new one if it arrives DOA.

Who cares about anything else outside that very simple procedure.

I struggle to see how MS' continued pushing of Kinect is any different to the 360. It's pretty obvious that they're both continuing what they've started with the current gen.

Sounds clearly like an act of fanboyism by a community then. Which has nothing to do with actual failure rates.

From what i have seen its just a code so you should be able to sell / trade games ok
