Yea this is highly annoying especially in UT you get that stupid thing pop up at the bottom saying "PUNCHED OUT" "CLIP RECORDED" and if the opponent takes a quick free kick the pop up is right in the way :(

Anyone know if there is a way to turn it off ?

Also another question when playing Fifa online I keep getting the speaker symbol pop up above my players head every know and then. I think Kinect is hearing me and broadcasting it.... how do I turn that off ? Even when I load up Fifa and tell it to disable Kinect in game it still happens.

The design is actually borked as they miscalculated the dimensions for the base of the Kinect, so the hole it clips into on the mount is too big and doesn't secure it as intended.

However I've found it still does a good job of keeping it sturdy, so I'm happy to keep it as it's not likely to fall off even if the TV stand gets knocked.

It's going to be quite high up so a bit reluctant if it's not completely secure.
 
I was looking at mounting the Kinect on top of the TV but now I'm not so sure as I think it'll look a bit stupid. I am going to try mine at the base of the TV first and go from there.

Goto main xbox settings, kinect, then uncheck allow kinect to be used for ingame chat (I assume it'll be still usable for skype etc..)

As for the replay saving in Fifa, it does my head in, too! I just wish it would keep doing what it does with saving volley goals, diving headers etc.. but please, give us a list of situations to choose which we do & don't want to be saved!

ahhhh perfect thanks for that, will do that when I get home. The amount of times I have shouted/swore at the TV in Fifa I thought mmm maybe I really should make sure the in game chat thing is not actually working :p :D

I just don't understand the punching clip.... why would I even want a clip of my keeper just "punching" the ball away. Yet when he actually makes a good save and HOLDS onto the ball that's not recorded lol :p

It seems that only one person in the party can turn on party chat, whilst everyone else gets an error message?

It seems to be a known issue on Xbox forums, and again, really annoying!

happens occasionally to me but certainly isnt just letting one person turn it on. Ive been in a few parties of 5-6 people and it usually works fine, occasionally 1 person cant turn the chat on but everyone else is unaffected.

Yeah it's naff,

I've resorted to opening up Skype voice call between us all and then closing skype and playing the game. Works through the headset just the same as Party chat if not better :)

I went to the Tesco midnight launch and there was 12 people in front of me and 5 behind.

6 of the 12 in front were non-preorders too.

Considering how many Xbox Ones Tesco wheeled out, I reckon only 15%-20% queued for midnight.

Pretty sure there are several things that dont require Gold. Not sure what they are, but why get a Xbox and not Gold? :confused:
 
Hi Peeps

I have my Xbox with shipped with Fifa which I love but I have today got all my free gift vouchers for the rain forest from different cashback sites and won some money on a club at work so I have enough to pick up two games.

I want Dead Rising 3, but I am split between Assassin's Creed IV, Ryse and possibly the new Lego game due out soon.

Any advice? I may sweat it out until the release games get reduced a bit going on the reviews of Ryse it may not be worth £40+
 
I coudl see Ryse hitting second hand market pretty damn quick, very short gameplay etc.

I would say either Lego or AC would have better longevity.

So might be better waiting a shorter time for Ryse at a cheaper price.
 
Anyone elses games they own via XBL stopped working? None of them at all work for me now =/

EDIT: NVM msoft support sorted it in a few minutes :)

So after my problem with faulted controller out of the box on day of release and contacting Microsoft for them to tell me i had to send them it first then they send me replacement once its received i thought was abit of a joke.So after a few people said i should push for advanced replacement i asked again on the help chat and at first the adviser said we can do that then she said we cannot do advanced orders on controllers just consoles.She then advised me to take it back to retailer even when i had just told her they had no stock and the way i feel about console i would not be coming out with one and would just take my money back.She said nothing really they can do but cancel my controller repair .I said that's fine then just cancel it and i am taking console back and not getting replacement.

I have had 2 first ever xbox consoles , then around 4 360s been live member since 2008 and for them to rather take my console back to retailer and not get replacement then to just send me a controller first so i can still play the console i spent £430 on and £90 on games is a joke. Its sealed the deal for my decision its going back and not getting replacement
