Something thats been perplexing me, every time you get a notification, party invite, unlock an achievement etc a message pops up saying "Hold X for details" yet all holding X does is ask if you want to turn off the console?

You have to hold the button while that message is on the screen, any other time you'll just get the prompt to turn off your console or controller.
 
Anyone already own Spartan Assault on phone or PC and manage to get the discount in the UK? In the US the price drops from $14.99 to $4.99 but i'm only seeing the £11.99 price in store.

things have relaxed back to a sensible level. You can mention places that stock the same stuff as OcUK, but just don't go encouraging prospective OcUK customers to shop at amazon :)

It was a sensible move, people had invented all sorts of code words for the big players like Amazon etc.. so everybody knew who you meant. So glad they relaxed it.

Hey just a heads up that kinect is separate from the console and has its own serial number so it can be sent by itself for RMA. I sent it using advanced exchange is they send a new one out first and I return the old in the same box by arranging collection by UPS

Was looking forward to Halo Spartan Asssault.
Downloaded tonight and had a couple of games and quite like it.

Started playing around with some of the load outs and noticed I need XP and CR to buy different weapons.
So I've racked up some XP but now need CR. I notice that CR can be bought... Micro-transaction-Soft strike again.
Please don't tell me this is the only way to get CR?

I am really being put off the XBox One currently. Even if this isn't the only way to get CR, it also appears you can use CR to buy 'boosts' - increased score being a particularly dodgy looking example.
So that presumably means leaderboards are topped by the people paying the most money?

I'll be really disappointed in supporting them with this purchase if it's really how it looks at first glance. Should have read up on it more I suppose.

MS are taking gaming down a path it should not go IMHO.
Leave the in app purchases to Fremium.
 
As Christmas is tomorrow, I have a day one edition for my son.

So just to check, does the purchases work the same as the 360?

For example, if I buy the games on my sons Xbox One under my profile, he will be able to play them on his console as well as myself on my own console?

Been holding off on Max and Spartan Assault so we can both have them.
