yes once but also have had 2 spastic actions happen when having normal conversations with my wife. The xbox went mental whizzing around loads of menus whilst I was pushing for wins on forza 5! Ruined my gaming cos the game crashed both times. Stupid kinect!!!! We didn't mention skype or anything but ended up with skype snapped to something else and it made me wonder if having kinect plugged in is a good idea. Not happened for a week or so now so it stays for now.
 
I got to see a xbone in the flesh today "Game" and was pleasantly surprised how good Forza looked after reading reviews that made it sound as though it didn't look much better than last gen. It looked just as next gen as killzone on my PS4 :) I must say though was there really any need for Microsoft to make it so freaking big? The camera is also massive! God knows how I'll fit it all in when I get round to buying one!
 
Picked up Ryse: Son of Rome pre-owned at the weekend in my local independant. Havn't managed to play it yet but I am looking forward to probably completing it over the christmas break.

Someone had traded it in so I managed to pick it for around £27 as I had a 20% off coupon to use. Also picked up GT6 used which ended up about the same price. Overall it was a pretty good weekend.

On a side note GT6 really does make Forza 5 feel like a half game content wise. Forza 5 has some definate advantages (looks better - should hope so TBH, Drivatars (AI), Fiesta ST, Yas Mari.... NO JUST NO!) but GT6 highlights just how much content is missing (Suzuka FFS). Is there anyway to smash the two together to get the graphics/AI from F5 and the content from GT6? :p

Also I did the Blu Tack trick on my slightly "flexy" feeling Day One contoller. Now it feels solid like my other controller. It was a bit worrying how much force I had to apply to get the plastic off on the side (not using any tools to prevent marks) but the tabs must be made of adamantium as they showed no signs of damage when it eventually pinged off. Thank you too bemaniac who mentioned this earlier in the thread. :)

Without trawling the thread again, what's the situation with replacement controllers? the casing on mine is becoming very loose, more so on the right side, when I apply a bit of pressure you can hear it creaking. Doesn't feel right to me! Left side feels more solid.

All the buttons seem to working fine, the shoulder buttons are harder to press - the left side one in particularly feels very stiff compared to the right. Can't remember if it was like that when I got it or not.

What's this blu tack trick? :)
 
I remember plenty of people giving CEX greif and also people who purchased to resell these consoles at a higher price than the RRP.

Xbox One + Fifa 14, £540 from Overclockers which seems to me they have simply added a £100 on the price tag!

Aha, normally I see this kind of thing in other peoples posts and make the joke but for some reason I failed to see it in my own post :-)

Even though I was watching Fresh Meat, which does have some decent women in it as well as quite tame sex scenes, I was NOT, repeat NOT, masturbating :-P
 
Anyone else finding the thumb sticks a bit dodgy?

They seem to collect a lot of dead skin and are really not that nice of a feel. I've bought some grips for like a quid which make them feel more like the 360, i much prefer it.
 
well it looks like our console has a dodgy Kinect.

It keeps saying unplugged. Tried all of the troubleshooting tips from MS and still no luck.

Left it unplugged all last night and still the same this morning.

Will have to see if local retailer will swap it, if not are MS doing advance replacements on the Kinect?

no worries. the sides are literally invincible lol you could rip them out with pliers and all the clips would be ok.
