**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Would it though? Price fixing is illegal.
How do they get away with online passes currently? The possible system just seems an extension of that combined with a backbone that deals with the license migration.

Also Im sure those license fees will change dependent on the game and age of it

ps3ud0

Unless you are getting both consoles, I don't get why people would pre-order prior to E3. I can understand pre-ordering generally, it's a good way to guarantee a console on launch day, but not waiting until we know all the facts about both the consoles, know more about the launch lineup and have seen some actual gameplay, that seems crazy to me.

On the PS4 side, we don't even know what it looks like yet and don't really know much about the launch lineup; and on the Xbox side, there's been no actual gameplay footage yet, and again we don't know the launch lineup. I can understand that it's easy enough to cancel or change the pre-order, but E3 is only a few weeks away now, surely it's more sensible to wait until after that and then pre-order?!

Sony on their PS4 still haven't fixed the placement of their left thumb stick. That's a good enough reason to get an Xbox One over the PS4.

But they've changed the controller and it looks to be slightly larger so it's possible that it is now more comfortably than the DS3!

Edit: I don't have any problems with the location of the sticks currently but can understand why some people find it uncomfortable.

I'm sure they'll be a device eventually like the XCM cross fire converter, that will allow to opposites consoles pad - I hope for some variation as my fight stick will become redundant wasn't exactly cheap.

I switch between Xbox controllers on Xbox and PC as well as the DS3 all the time and don't have problems with either, guess i'm just not fussy!

Is it weird that I'm primarily concerned with how loud it's going to be? Has anyone mentioned anything about the noise?

I know both consoles will have decent games, decent media features, decent controllers and online functionality, some form of second hand DRM etc. None of that bothers me, but what will get right on my **** is a noisy box.

for real? Well enjoy your Xbox One with no original content, no indie backing , and dodgy installation features that even MS cant get right, but remember you got tv support so all is well!

If you're not interested in the Xbox ONE, why post in here? Stop the trolling.

I'm pretty sure they've said it's going to be real quiet, I guess we'll have to wait and see for some hands on stuff though.

In the reveal they said "near silent" although what that actually means who knows.
