Xbox One X

I've cancelled my pre-order, but I'm guessing for unrelated reasons.

Mine was just because I recently got back in to PC gaming, and rarely touch my consoles now. So for the odd console exclusive I must play, I'm happy to play it on a standard Xbox One. I've wasted too much money on console games and gadgets (like PSVR) lately that just don't get touched due to me gaming on my PC 99% of the time

I think a lot of us can relate to that!

4K players are massively overpriced though because the market is still so small, that's also why Microsoft are dumb for targetting 4K gamers. For the price they're asking they'd have been much better off upgrading the CPU to something that can manage 60fps more easily and a similar GPU to the PS4 Pro, minor differences in resolution and textures are barely perceivable when you're actually gaming.

That’s it in a nutshell for me. If all the console games ran at 60fps, PCs wouldn’t be in my thoughts at all. But I’m skipping the X1X for now and getting a gaming laptop instead. Plus I have a 300 game Steam library which I’ve built up over 10 years of sales but never been able to play because I don’t have a capable system. But this year will be the year...

Completely forgot about the 4k player, looking forward to getting mine, FM7 and maybe the new AC for something to do, want to do a bit of downstairs gaming as my HDR 4k Panny does next to nothing. Got mine at Very for £360 on buy now pay later, if I want to get rid will probably still get £360 for it 6 months after release after which time I'll have to pay if off.

LOL.

For those of you who have pre ordered and then cancelled. Can I ask why?

I eventually cancelled mine after having a think about what i was intending to play on it.
I pre ordered asap as i was fully on-board the hype train , when working my way through the list of xbox enhanced games i already own them on PC at 60 fps.
There's still plenty of time to change my mind , almost on a weekly basis im tempted by new toy syndrome ... its just a little too expensive for me to buy purely out of curiosity.
Might be a decent buy at this time next year there's just very few reasons to buy one at the minute.
Id be interested to see how the dashboard runs on the XBX though , if its nice and quick it could make a very good media centre :-D the current xbox is painfully slow

If your happy to delete stuff you might be ok , i personally think they will be almost required.
Gears 4 alone on PC is 100GB which will prob be the same for XBX

Yeah heard games are around 100gb with the 4k content, although I guess it depends on the game, that looks like 8-9 games, more depending on type of game.
Seem's plenty enough space for me, Had my PRO for a while now and only have about 7 games installed on that and only play 2 of them mostly.

Forza 7 4k patch was 26gb

Halo 5 already 99gb and gears already 95gb. Add 4k stuff on top, should be around 120-130gb each

Anyone getting an external hdd for the X, Im hoping the internal 1tb is enough really as I normally delete stuff after a while that I don't play anymore.

I've got a 4TB external already as I like to have a good amount of games ready when I want them.

I'm baffled as to why the XBX does not have 2TB as standard.

Yeah, with games like Gears at 100GB, I wouldn't want to download that more than once. External HDD is an essential for the X1X IMO.

Thinking about it if you own every Xbox exclusive in last two years e.g Halo, Halo Master Chief, Halo wars 2, Gears 4, Forza 7, Forza Horizon 3, Recore, Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, and ea access games.

Got to be hitting 2tb?

Holding off this, got an S and I barely use that. The problem I have is there are no games to entice me to buy for Xbox, they really need to put more focus on exclusives.. I appreciate they're trying but even what has been announced on the horizon doesn't really fill me too much with excitement.
