Xbox One X

Contrary to my last post its now working again. I turned it off at the mains twice and unplugged it and once I plugged it back in I hit the power button and it fired up and has now done so the last four or so times. I have now removed it from my cheap full up surge protector and plugged it into the wall.

I'm surprised I'm reading so many issues on yet another XBOX console. I thought we were past all that after the RROD fiasco of the XB1. Was thinking of getting one soon even though I've a really good gaming PC and a PS4 Pro, reading comments around the web on the various issues and failures, I think I'll give it a miss now.

Well the X is a lot smaller and packs a hell of a punch.

Well I've been using it for three hours tonight and played Fortnite, PUBG and ran the insects demo and no issues and have again powered it on and off several times minus the surge protector. Bearing in mind I've had the X plugged into this since launch why should it play up now? And another weird thing is that I always have the start chime on the controller and power button set to off yet once I managed to fire it up it after the initial not booting scenario it chimed, subsequent times it hasn't and nothings changed in my settings. I don't expect anybody to have an answer for this strange behavior but feel free if you have any idea's.

Not had a single problem with mine bought it at the end of November, obviously there going to be a few launch one's having problems as this is always the case with anything new.
But the internet does sometimes might things seem worse than what it actually is.

I'll chime in and add to the list of dead Xbox one X's. My launch scorpio edition decided to not switch back on and made a nasty electrical buzzing/crackling sound when you turned the power on at the wall (no surge protector as advised and tried different plugs)

Ended up getting a refund as they had none in stock to replace. Ended up re ordering from a different site with an offer on for £375 with 2 games! So although I won't have the scorpio edition, I do have £75 back in my wallet and 2 extra games :P

Got my xbox x yesterday. Took advantage of the very 10% off deal.
Only had a quick blast on battlefront 2, but if I'm honest....can't really see much of a difference.

My TV is 4k 10bit hdr certified as well.....maybe I was expecting too much

My replacement is playing up again. It keeps giving me errors about saved games not syncing and telling me to delete the local saves. So frustrating as I lose a couple of hours worth of Fallout 4 Grind each time. I'm thinking I might try and take it back to GAME and trade it in. They refused point blank last time to take it back claiming it was fully working (they tested one game for 2 hours). If they accept it i'll get £360ish back, if it comes up faulty I can get a full refund, either way i'm beginning to hate the stupid thing and just want rid of it.

I'm glad I've still got my old one to fall back on, still scratching my head over what my X did yesterday, I booted it this morning all good and have just got home from work and all fine again. Now its plugged into a four gang extension without surge protection so I'll give it a few more days and see how it goes. I can only describe as if it acted like something had tripped out and needed resetting certainly not the surge protector though as everything else fired up running through it bar the Xbox.

I can understand your frustration, powered mine up this morning and it refused to acknowledge that any of my external drives were plugged in even after resets and reboots I think I may be done to..... Gutted!

You need to go to specsavers.

I have played:
Assassins Creed (which completely surpassed any expectation of what I expected from this gen)
Halo 5 (insane)
Gears 4 (ridiculous)
Battlefront 2(massive improvement on the Xbox one S i had played the demo on)
Forza 7 (Very sharp overall to the point where you know what car is in front of you from a way further behind now due to tehy amount of detail, the HDR on puddles at dusk is amazing as well)

Also small things like In R6:Siege there is no tearing now, without any patches.

I have a 49" KS7000
