Xbox Scorpio

It's not even officially been announced yet and people are writing it off...... lol

I think I'm the only one excited about it tbh...... :)

I personally am excited. Im about to buy a 4k tv and its peaking my interest. I think its value for money....my concern is that Microsoft are pricing themselves out of the market. I, you and many users here know the specs of the machine, the average user doesnt...they dont care either.

Its all well and good saying its for a niche market however given where the Xbox is im not sure Microsoft can afford for it to sell like one.

I think theyve made a mistake with the pricing personally.

They are trying to sell a premium product...the idea that the only want 4k users to buy it is silly.

They are behind sony...by a mile. They will want to bridge that gap and this isnt going to do it. If anything it will make it wider as people head towards the ps4 pro.

Its pointless arguing with you as MS have already said its for people who have 4k TVs. Thats a PREMIUM product! Its their version of the Titan X basically and they just want to have the best of the best should you want it. I'm literally repeating what MS have already said and for some reason you wont believe it. I will link it again...

They know and understand a small percentage of the existing user base will even be interested in this let alone know what it is. The man behind it has stated this already all through development.

Thjey know they wont win this generation but 26 million consoles sold by Christmas suggests they are far from being in trouble.

Excellent...so theyve just given up?

Microsoft want this to sell by the bucket load. To suggest they are ok with it being a "niche" product is unbelievably naive.

Its almost like gamers with 1080p tvs dont get enhanced visuals...wait...they do.

If you honestly think Microsoft are ok with this being for "4k users" then well ok...maybe get your head out of the sand.

People moan about exclusives and how on side poaches from the other.....people complain when they open there library up for others to play. lol
MS cant win no matter what they show today.

They can...if they show genuinely impressive performance backed up with real exclusive titles that can tip the balance in their favour.

Exclusives matter, they need make some of their games, Xbox One/Scorpio Exclusive again as currently with my PC the way it is I have no incentive to game on my XBox when I can get everything on my PC/PS4 Pro/Switch. Don't get me wrong, I'll be watching tonight with interest but they have a lot to do to convince a lot of people.

Exclusives are what makes the console now. What does baffle me though is aiming it at 4k gamers but having most of the decent games available on PC as well through Windows 10....in 4k? I sold my XB1 as all the games I wanted to play on it I could buy on PC as well.

I have no interest in PC gaming anymore. This is perefect for me and anyone else not interested in owning pc's....

Dont get me wrong, there will be people like yourself but a lot of the people I know who are tech savvy enougth to own a 4k TV also have a PC to game on. Might just be my experience though.

Yep, baffles me too. If it wasn't for my XB1 being shared with my brother it would be sold also, there's a reason it hasn't been on since the tail end of 2016.

Not sure if it's already been said. But Xbox Scorpio is its name? And it's coming in at $499? Will soon find out...

Edit: this is going from the last min rumours before the event.

Double edit: too late to the party. Already been mentioned haha.
