FFS, I thought someone had said Symths had priced them at £159.
LOL, that was me. Earlier this week, Eurogamer had accessories listed in a table with the Smyths entry at £159 for the SSD. Clearly wrong now but don't shoot the messenger.

No doubt they will bring out a 2tb version of the series X at some point
I have a 1TB SSD in my One X and an 8TB Xbox USB game drive. I just copy over what I’m currently playing plenty of room for 10 games. Will just carry on doing this with Series X. No real need for extra ssd space really.

Its still not been revealed yet how the PS5 expansion works.Tbh, I much prefer the series x storage solution. Just seems much more straight forward. Can totally see why they went this way.
how do you insert the PS5 expandable drive?
That expansion card is more expensive that i thought, but overclockers are currently selling a 1TB Seagate NVME gen 4 for £250.
I'll probably be ok without one, if not i'll put my MS points towards one.
It's not like i need to buy any games other than Cyberpunk & Dirt 5, having GamePass anyway.
I completely agree. I'm the same. I have both standrad SSD and NVME in my tower and notice zero difference day to day.
I would have thought its more that Devs having fixed hardware, Velocity tech can utilize it more than with guess work in whats inside a PC.Depends. MSFS 2020 is noticably faster to load on my NVMe equipped PC than the SATA SSD equipped machine (which has significantly more CPU/RAM). Also for dev work that thrashes out read and writes across bajillions of files contantly, NVMe is a big plus.
Reply from Smyths about my cancelled All Access X
"All customers who received a cancellation email for the Xox Series X has been contacted by Smyth's advising that an update email with more information will be sent at some point today."
Ordered myself a Series S from Amazon on launch day, much easier process than any of the other consoles. We have a good 1080p tv and don't plan on upgrading until it dies or OLED starts hitting around the £800 pricepoint, so 4k ouutput isn't a primary concern.
However, Gamepass Ultimate on the living room console, gaming PC and Android phone/tablet is a very tasty proposition.
They don't know what's going on TBH. I have a confirmed direct debit but nothing else. No confirmation email, no cancellation email.
