What's The equivalent GPU to the series X?

I know the xbox one was a 580, not sure on the 1X

I've a friend who's been working with the Series X for more than a year now. He told me (prior to the hardware being publically announced) that the Series X was the equivalent to a 2080ti in performance. I recently contacted him again about this as I was trying to figure out if I should go for a 3080 or get the SX. His reply - " The long and the short is yes - the XBSX GPU will be roughly 2080ti performance, but good developers will always squeeze more out of a console over time so I'd say it has a bit more legroom there"
This guy has been working with graphics engines going back to the PS3 era, and worked with Sony in helping developers get the most out of the PS3 hardware.

Tbh I still find the One X a capable machine Gears 5 looks stunning on it. Replacing the stock drive with an SSD makes a huge difference. I hope developers actually use the power available in these new machines rather than just re hashing old titles fed up with all the remasters this gen has had but I can see it being even worse moving forward. No problem with backwards compatibility but all the re-masters was a joke tbh...

I think we will have a few years before we see some truly next generation titles.

Curry's must be getting ready for those that pre-ordered to place their full order. They're going up on the site in stock at £2449. They're then using the £5 pre-order discount to take off £2000 lol!

Let's see if we made it haha.

Fudge method.

People on HUKD are reporting getting a code through the fudged method. I've got two £5 deposits down as I wasn't taking any chances. If anyone here wants an X and didn't get one, I'll happily give up my second code if my first works. All I ask is that you transfer me the £5 deposit I initially paid for the deposit. I don't think the deposit is linked to anything like my email but we'll see.

If mine doesn't come through, I'd happily take you up on that.

I swear the more people talk about not being able to get one the more I want the X :p

Going to stick Red Dead 2, Watchdogs Legion and the Falconeer on my Christmas list. Maybe Immortals.

AC Valhalla and Cyberpunk are instant purchases.

What are the day one game pass releases?

oooooooooooh. Suddenly occurred to me picking up the ninja gaiden games again might be an idea :D

I remember the 2nd had woeful frame rates.

Edit: be nice if they were on GP
