I was glued to Gears 3 horde mode back in the day but wouldn't go anywhere near competitive mp if you paid me.

Horde and Escape are well worth a look on this. Especially if time is tight and they now have the 12 wave frenzy mode.

Anyone pre-order there Xbox or ps5 instore at Smyths toys ? If so have you received a txt since making the order ? I went in the morning Xbox went up. Think I was second in and paid my £25 deposit. Since then I have heard nothing. Hope I am getting one on release day.

I did and like yourself hadn't heard anything, no confirmation email or txt. Checked with customer services and they confirmed everything was all good so fingers crossed.

Cool, Operation 5 drops in 4 weeks with the biggest PVE update yet, it's looking huge. Worth watching the weekly developer streams on twitch/youtube if you love your gears. They will be breaking down all the upcoming content for it and the Series X launch.

I got to say, I've never really played the Gears series to any great extent - I didn't like the perspective........but will give them another try at some point.

I’ve seen a few rumours of there being more stock released, I guess it’s just a case of keeping an eye out and maybe checking if there is a newsletter signup at the major retailers.

I have one of each (X and S )ordered via MS and confirmed, however I may end up having to cancel.
Plans / circumstances have changed and doesn't make sense to buy the consoles at the moment, was going to upgrade the TV and possibly AVR too but they are too on hold due to changing plans
So will probably end up cancelling - need to decide in the next few days.
Will continue to made do with the current consoles for now

What's the connection here with Batista? I'd much rather have the original Marcus. In my mind there's absolutely no replacement!

He's a big gears Fan and put it out there that he wants to play Marcus if there's a film. He's already in the game as a skin you can use over the top of marcus, but now you can use him in Campaign too. Which seems pretty pointless but some people might like it.

Looks good - will defo have to give it a try! I think I may already have them all dowenloaded on my One X.

Yea I got similar msg from Smyths twitter account, Will get a txt once its packed in store. Not cancelling my Amazon back up till I get the txt. lol

You can get an Xbox and two years of Game Pass Ultimate for less. Substantially less if you aren't already a Game Pass subscriber. But it works out cheaper than buying an Xbox and paying the £10.99/month sub separately.

Is it not cheaper to buy outright and use the 3yr brazil code method? Like significantly cheaper.

Ok so easy math:

All Access = £695.76 (24 x £28.99)

Buying + Brazil code = £539 (based on paying £90 for the codes as they've gone up)

So a whopping £156 more for paying monthly basically due to paying full price for the gamepass.
