Sounds like PS5 buyers tried to use the glitch a lot of us used at Currys this morning. Many were able to order early. Currys have now cancelled all PS5 orders from today for both glitch and genuine buyers!

Turned out not to be true, they’ve cancelled some orders but some have gone through. I’ve had an email to say I will receive mine before 15th December and I ordered mine at 6:45 am :)

Is it as 'looty' as the last two? Seemed to get a new weapon evey 5 minutes.

It’s not as bad as far as loot goes. I’m using an axe I had from near the beginning and upgraded. The combat is really easy even on hard difficulty levels and I’m not the greatest of skilled gamer. The difficulty just affects how much damage you take really.

It was just rushed to be out for the consoles and it shows it’s really buggy. Lots of oddities going on with npc characters especially.

Well that sounds better but yeah it's obvious it was rushed from what people are saying and review. Think I'll wait to see if a patch fixes the screen tearing before I jump.

Loot is definitely improved. It’s the only game that currently uses much of the new console hardware though - it’s certainly pretty to look at. Definitely lots of fixing needed, but still worth a look.

About half way through Assassins Creed Valhalla and tbh fed up with it now. It’s easily the worst Assassins Creed I have played and the amount of bugs is just silly. The combat just does not feel right and the Viking setting is just not that enjoyable. Think I might just shelve it and carry on with Divinity......

That first hit miss bug is horrible. I wouldnt play it with that bug. But still it looks pretty for those who think gaming is about that.

I have not had any tearing or slowdown. I have VRR enabled so could be fixed by that..

I take it you didn't play Unity then? :p

Tbh I though Unity was ok.

Unity was very good once it received a load of patches. It did a lot of stuff really well - difficult crowd assassinations, multiple ways to approach assassination targets, huge crowds making the city feel alive, some very fluid parkour, stunning graphics, a fantastic recreation of Paris, a decent story. Not my favourite, but it was good in the end. It was the first game on a new engine, so it was always destined to have a difficult start.

I'm enjoying it so far, am just skipping the mysteries and wealth collection as was previously going out of my way to collect them all. Just sticking to the main quest lines and main side quests which are pretty good story wise.

Combat is decent but you can over level quite easily, so trying to do them on time instead of levelling to fast.

Ive pretty much stuck with the original Varin axe and raven armour from the start and just levelled them, probably missing out on different on mechanics not using other weapons.

Quick Resume for me is one of the best features to ever hit a console - I've just spent the event bouncing between playing COD / Halo with my mates, then onto a mix of Forza, The Witcher 3 and Tony Hawks

Still getting a really stupid bug with my headset and elite controller, even when I turn off my headset first I still get the odd xbox reboot instead of turn off and unpairing of the controller. Need to use the remote app to restart the machine to resolve!

As already said, the 48CX is your only option. And it's an excellent one.

I was under the impression that even the CX lacked either VRR or 120hz at 48", I've read conflicting specs online and it's difficult to know which reviews are correct when they mostly review the big screen versions.

Literally the first google result (whathifi) says it has it.

LG was the first TV brand to offer officially certified HDMI 2.1 sockets. While such sockets aren’t actually a guarantee of support for all next-gen HDMI features, the CX and its siblings support all that matter right now and into the foreseeable future.

These include eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel), ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate).

Absolutely no ambiguity at all.

Surely LG will list the specs.

CX series has HDMI 2.1 and all the features that go with.
