Had the series X now for almost two weeks, must say I’m really impressed so far.

At the age of 42 with two smallish kids, I rarely get a lot of time to play games anymore. Built a PC again to get back into gaming two years ago but sat there gathering dust so sold.

was going to build a new one with a 3080 but couldn’t justify the outlay. For me the X is the perfect cross between PC and console gaming.

Loading times have absolutely made this a game changer for the console world, love how I can quickly spin it up to have a quick 30 mins on Forza. Game pass is brilliant in that it gives me plenty to play without forking out £50 - 60 for games I will hardly play.

Just my thoughts as an older gamer with very little spare time

Same kind sentiments here. I'm a casual gamer and haven't played in the last 3 years. Sold both ps4 and xbox one. Then purchased and ps4 Pro last year, that death stranding special edition. Really wasn't impressed with the consoles graphical output and speed.

Come series x, the whole thing wasn't on my radar until the YouTubers demoed hue good it was. The loading speed and graphical uplift caught my attention. Then the bargain Gamepass glitch came along that was that, late September I was on the hunt for one and have been happy ever since unboxing it. Superbly designed hardware and a great array of games on Gamepass with quick resume. And I can now catchup on the last few years of games that have been patched to run properly and run at their best given the power uptick. Cannot stand glitchy games.

The SX was a great way to see my TVs potential being a recent oled. It did not disappoint. FH4 looks and plays beautifully, streets of rage 4 is a blast with the Mrs. And Ori 2 makes a great example of why Gamepass is so great. I never would have bought that game but I just wanted to see 4k120 in action and both the performance and game are brilliant.

I've waffled enough. Great purchase!

So having had my series x delivered to me Tuesday. I opened up it, haven’t had a chance to properly hook it up but did turn it on to see if it actually works, which it does lol.
Looked around the back of the console and it says my manufacture date is august 2020. Which I thought was a bit strange as everyone has been having a hard time getting one. So I’m thinking they have stock at the distribution centre but are just slowly releasing them to the public to keep the “hype” going so to speak.
I would have thought seeing as they were saying there isn’t much stock available. That the ones they are sending out would have been manufactured recently rather than months ago.
Something that’s just make me think how true is the stock shortages.

Anyone who received a series x, was it recently manufactured??

Had a quick dip back into Fallout 4, the load times between places on the map are now about 3 seconds, it's so much smoother in game too. I am however, devastated. My beautiful greenhouse/mancave/armoury I built has now disappeared, leaving only the furnishings floating in the air, including all my special items I've stored in a trunk. Sometimes life is hard.

Does anybody know where to get the Steelseries Arctis 7x headsets from? They're not available in New Zealand and they seem perfect for me as I game on multiple devices and want to move the headset around. I've got a pair of TB Stealth 700x Gen2's on order but they're not due for fulfilment until 4th december... happy to accept messages via trust etc.?

In the UK the only option was direct from Steelseries in Denmark.

Classic Fallout.

Just picked up Dirt5 for £14, be interested to see how it looks as everyone says it looks better in person than on youtube due to compression.

Was always impressed how FH4 ran at 4k60+ even on an average pc. Although it's mostly just scenery but rarely dropped even with a lot of cars on screen.
Only thing I don't like is the amount of stuff locked behind micro transactions.

It's about 15 quid for the ultimate add on pack. Job done.

It just goes to show how well FH4 is developed, looking so good and not a resource hog.

Used to be a GT Fan from 1 to 3. After that it went down the pan with every release. I moved to Forza with the X360. No contest.
