Agree to disagree on that one, I personally think it’s much better than the ver2 which wasn’t very well built. Think I went through a few before the ver2 came out and finding the ver2 better in every respect. At least I don’t have the issue of peeling handgrips and bumpers that fall off after a few hrs of use lol.
None of the ver2 I have had, that had issues had stick drift or a wonky dpad.

You can disagree all you want, but those sticks are atrocious on the Elite 2. People often swap them back for older versions.

I’m not saying the 1 is better in every area, I am saying the 2 is a lot worse in some very important areas. It’s unacceptable for the price.

The sticks desperately need changing. Motion controls should be added too as playing FPS games without them needs a lot of auto aim to compensate for the lack of precision.

I've never had a complaint about the sticks. I may be lucky here with having zero issues from them, but my only potential complaint is not having two tall sticks. We have pretty much zero chance of removing things like deadzone, so we we're never gonna reach the mouse level of accuracy, but they're precise on games like Siege and that's what I want from a controller. I've found that you can easily get them to be setup exactly how you want through accessories, so stuff like Forza and F1 games can become pretty damn good for a controller too. They're pretty decent in general on Xbox controllers IMO, albeit once stick drift sets in you're screwed.

Which again is your opinion mate, which I respectfully disagree with. I don’t have any issue with the sticks or stick drift. My 2 previous ones that were replaced never had any stock drift or issues either.
As I said I wouldn’t go back to the ver1 even though I still have one, it was replaced and pretty much brand new. But would I choose it over a ver2?? Nope not a chance. Just haven’t got round to selling it or giving it away. Only time I’d go back to it is if my ver2 broke or had to be replaced. So I’ll probably hang onto it for the time being.

New controllers are garbage, first one that came with my X had a bad A button which wouldn't register ever time, second one was rough around the edges of the analogue sticks, like they'd continued the textured finish too far, now the third one, the RT binds against the controller body when pressed.

The sticks and buttons are objectively worse than the previous Elite sticks, which is not an opinion. How is that ok?

The Elite 1 can be set to 0-2% on the inner dead zone while the Elite 2 needs 5-12% and wobbles a lot before they start to register/resist. This is objectively worse.

The Elite 2 buttons need to either be pressed perfectly perpendicular to the controller surface or used with enough force due to a design flaw with the rubber membrane. The Elite 1 buttons just work. This is objectively worse.

Just to show all opinions are valid, I prefer the new controller to me Elite Series 1. The buttons on the Elite are not as reliable as those on the new controller and I find the triggers more comfortable. Playing Yakuza 7 I find I can hit the QT event more consitantly on the new controller and Forza Horizon seems to drive better. Each to his own of course :)

It's arrived! but no time to play with it this evening :( I was watching the yodel delivery like a hawk, just waiting for them to say they couldn't find my property, almost didn't as he went screeching past, saw the van lurch as he slammed on his brakes. Yodel, you did well!

That’s some bad luck all mine have been fine so far....

Can't think of any games that have a deadzone of less than 5%, but certainly never noticed anything responding to tiny movements when I had my old Elite 1. Their QC appears to be extremely poor, which will be why this is the case.

I've got two controllers, both are a bit rough with the analogue sticks and one has a bit of a sticky A button. Not the best quality.

Feel free to counter the points.

I have had series 1 and 2 and they have both been great. I use the second as the trigger travel distance locks and the adjustable analog stick tension really suits my gaming styles..

and USB C integrated charging is handy, as my iPad and stealth 700s are on USB C also.

That is my only gripe with the Arctis 9X. Micro-USB port for charging. At least their battery life is rather long, but it's annoying that it wasn't USB-C port on there.

really, wow, I would have thought then to be USB C, but they do look real good headphones tbh.

And as I said I don’t suffer from those issues you seem to be having. I mean carry on arguing your point but it’s falling on deaf ears and honestly I couldn’t really care anymore.
I’ve made it clear that FOR ME and possibly others, the ver2 is a far better controller than the ver1 ever was. Evidently in your mind it isn’t which is fine.

If you love the ver1 one so much, do you want to buy mine?? As I really have no need for it lol.

I get probably 2 days out of them, that's leaving them on when I leave the room to do some work, probably 15-20 hours.
