New controllers are garbage, first one that came with my X had a bad A button which wouldn't register ever time, second one was rough around the edges of the analogue sticks, like they'd continued the textured finish too far, now the third one, the RT binds against the controller body when pressed.

did they advance RMA for you? for sure my controller needs replacing but the problem that I see is you have no controller whilst you wait for a new one.

In addition to the previous problems I mentioned I am now getting occasional double registers.

I have had series 1 and 2 and they have both been great. I use the second as the trigger travel distance locks and the adjustable analog stick tension really suits my gaming styles..

and USB C integrated charging is handy, as my iPad and stealth 700s are on USB C also.

I’ve never disagreed that there are better points on the 2, but the two single most important parts (sticks and buttons) are worse.

And as I said I don’t suffer from those issues you seem to be having. I mean carry on arguing your point but it’s falling on deaf ears and honestly I couldn’t really care anymore.
I’ve made it clear that FOR ME and possibly others, the ver2 is a far better controller than the ver1 ever was. Evidently in your mind it isn’t which is fine.

If you love the ver1 one so much, do you want to buy mine?? As I really have no need for it lol.

You’re weird, read above your quote. I think you’re making things up and debating points that were never made.

Edit: Here’s the original post I made before you went off on one imaging that I prefer the Elite 1 to the Elite 2 in every way:

The Elite 2 is significantly inferior to the Elite 1 in a few key areas.

turtle beach stealth 700 are awesome mate.

Think he means headphones mate, not the console.

Sorry I should have been clearer; I'm asking if the xbox series s is the best option for me if I only have 1080p screen
I won't be getting a 4k set for at least a few years

I have both and the storage is very limited on the S at 364GB usable space. If that’s not an issue for you then I can highly recommend the S.

Just bear in mind that it runs the One S versions of old games even though it could run them much better if the developer patched them.

Games that make full use of the S look great on my 1440p120 monitor.

No advance RMA, don't know if its different if you speak to them, automated process states 6 to 8 working days but I got it back today when I sent it back on the 13th Nov.

Sending it back again so will see if its any faster this time. I've taken out the xbox complete warranty because my faith in the console is damaged now.

I managed to get a x a few weeks back on preorder due for delivery on thurs for my sons xmas pressy, he currently has a one s with a 4tb hdd, i know the new x games apparantly only run off the ssd's but read that xbox one and older games will be fine on a mechanical drive, question is will they all need to be redownloaded etc?

Both of mine were fine except for the noisy Dpad, i did buy a controller about 6 months ago that had the A-button missing button presses, that was annoying.

I returned my blue shock controller to amazon though, when I got my XB1X box out of the loft to sell, I found I had the controller that came with it still wrapped up in the box...

So I've got a spare to use when in 6-12 months time, my series X controller probably gets stick drift and needs a warranty return.

Honestly I prefer the Xbox One controller I was loaned over the new one.
