I want to say 4K 30fps, but I could be wrong. It seems any game with ray tracing will be at 30fps. Good to see many offering 60fps options. Looking at the visuals of this I can see why it would be pushing the hardware.

First I've heard of this game. Looks well eery.

YouTube demos peg it @ 4k60. Looking forward to giving it a go. Thanks.

My bad. It is indeed 30fps. Graphics must be impressive.

Yup. No Xbox One for this one. The developer did an interview the other day and basically said that because two worlds are rendered simultaneously, the game would have needed to be cut back significantly to run on the old consoles. It would be possible, but it wouldn't be the game they wanted to make.

That's good then hopefully, if the games are demanding and developers want to get the power out of the next gen consoles, they don't want older gen consoles holding them back. Before I purchased the series x I just thought all new games were going to be across all xbox consoles, so it is nice to see some exclusives for the series S/X.

Don’t buy an Elite 2

Totally agree absolute garbage build quality. The paddles are so useful, a game changer for something like gears to bounce or my son loves them for fortnite to build, but they are made of cheese. The same with Xbox one controller in general. I still have every one of the 360 controllers I ever got. They still perform well, odd one with stick drift but they are 15 years old. I've eaten through Xbone controllers. I like wired headsets and the audio jack needs replacing on everyone I've ever owned, I replace them myself and they work forever.

I gave up on the Elites and went to PowerA's. They are wired, which I prefer anyway how close I am to my monitor, less latency and can't be worse build quality than Elites or even standard xbone controller. My son used the PowrA Spectra as it has buttons on the grip instead of paddles and I'm going to try the paddle version myself. For £59.99 worth a punt how well my sons spectra has done. For £160 the Elites are pathetic quality. If you had a three year warranty then I can see that maybe worth it.

Their repair service is useless too. I had to repair my pad myself.

The sticks on my Elite 1 are significantly better than those on the 5 different Elite 2 pads I’ve tried, where the sticks have enormous deadzones /“wobble” making them very inaccurate. So it’s not just defects with the Elite 2 but design flaws that are present in every controller too.

Pretty sure Microsoft have since back tracked on the Xbox One thing anyway. They added a caveat back in the summer that it was up to their developers whether they continued to support Xbox One, but that they hoped they would make every effort to do so. I suspect the boss man at Asobo got on the phone and told Phil that there's no way on this planet thar Flight Sim is running on an Xbox One :p

I'm quite looking forward to The Medium. Just waiting to hear how "horror" it is. Eternal Darkness kinds of creepy-but-not-scary? Or Five Nights at Freddie VR instant pant-browning? I'm not so keen on the latter :D

At least we are lucky here to have 1 year+ warranty. Lot's of my American gaming friends rage about the Elite with their limited warranty. I think it's been increased there now but a lot like the 360 when that came out they got burned hard with a bricked device.

HDR on Ori is mind blowing. This is playing on a 65inch Q80T 4k 120fps VRR, can only imagine how bright the colours are on a decent OLED.

The colours won't be brighter on OLED, my KS800 is brighter than the CX by a big margin but the contrast on the CX is on another level to the Samsung.
Or is that what you meant instead of brighter as Ori is quite a dark game?

Yes sorry I did mean contrast, have been on the sauce :)

Either way it does look fantastic.

Speaking of tetris, just based on how addictive it is. Have you tried king oddball? Spent hours on that on Sunday.

Not heard of it but just checked it on ps store and it looks good. Kind of like angry birds but well not. £3.99 or I can play it in my pc. I'll try on pc assuming it's on gp and if I like it I'll splash out.
