I’ve found this Twitter account very reliable:

Step 1: Turn on notifications for your phone
Step 2: Ensure Twitter can display notifications
Step 3: Enable notifications for that Twitter account, by pressing the bell icon and then notify all tweets.

You’ll get pings through the day, sometimes they’re to promote a raffle or a giveaway but mostly to show stock.

I typically received notifications 2-3 mins before any of the stock apps. Got a XSX and PS5 through it :-)

Have since had the opportunity to buy more

That's very handy to know, I appreciate it.
I've followed your steps, so fingers crossed!

I was camping stock informer for going onto two weeks. It almost became an obsession but managed to get one last month. We are going onto three months into launch and still having trouble with stock!

This will continue for at least a few months yet. MS have admitted that they expect to be low on stock at least until the end of March.

To semi hijack the TV talk. If you are looking for a sub 55" TV with HDMI2.1 I assume that only really leaves the 48 LG OLED screen? Are there any other good 2.1 tvs sub 55"?
It seems almost pointless having 4k at that size (other than for the 120hz and HDR)......unless you sit incredibly close to the screen?

Managed to bag a Series X from Currys too, due for delivery tomorrow.
Over moon been a bloody nightmare locating stock I may finally sleep properly tonight I can not re-enable do not disturb mode!

So it seems like Microsoft's talk about Series S being exactly capable of Series X at lower resolutions is already starting to fall apart at the seams. I don't think Devil May Cry V ever got ray tracing on XSS, Control Ultimate Edition is the next one.

Note the 1220p below should be 1440p. It's an error.

What is ‘next gen’ about Control Ultimate Edition on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S?
  • Performance Mode – Targets 60fps performance with 1440p render resolution and 4K output
  • Graphics Mode – Targets 30fps performance with ray tracing (transparency and reflections) at 1220p render resolution and 4K output
    • NOTE: Only the Performance mode is available on Xbox Series S. It is targeting 60fps with no ray tracing, at 900p render resolution, and 1080p output. This is a limitation of the hardware, not the game.
  • PS5 DualSense Support – Support for vibrations and triggers.
  • PS5 Activities and Help – Cards and videos that help guide you through the game, and keep track of your progress

Anyone experiencing issues reconnecting to xbox live after a disconnect?

My Internet hasn't been the greatest lately and whenever the connection drops I have to hard reset the series s to reconnect.

This doesn't seem to affect any other devices including my xbox one and ps4.

I have tried swapping ethernet cables around with the xbox one and still only the series s has this issue.

Any ideas? I am on the beta program so may try leaving to see if it has any effect (only joined for Minecraft beta)

<1080p, no Ray Tracing, and a few other things dialled down (like shadows) on The Medium too.

Early signs really aren't that encouraging. I didn't really expect Series X settings and performance at 1440p. But I did expect it to be able to match Series X at 1080p. The fact it isn't even able to do that in most titles is a bit concerning.

Though I am a little sceptical about the claim that it's all down to the hardware and not the games. Series S hardware is a good 3x to 4x more powerful than One S, but with a more modern feature set and solid state storage. Yet so far, that difference isn't really shining through beyond a few select titles.
