Is there a decent way to move my Series X from a 4k screen to a 1080p one without changing the resolution down to 1080p before moving it?
If you use HDMI then the devices talk to each other and set all the VRR, resolution, and frame rates etc.

Yep usually game on a 4k hdr TV and plan on playing on a monitor occasionally so I dont hog the TV. I can't even get it to display even when holding down power and eject to reset it back to default display settings. Not sure whats going on with it. Even tried plugging it back into the TV and manually setting it all back to 1080p but its not playing ball.
could have course just be my monitor...

Just tried an old Sky cable and it worked. Put old cable back again and still worked. Turns out I hadn't quite pushed the HMDI cable in far enough. Wow what a rookie error lol. Still I assume the XSX will work now at least! You tried a diff cable
So...I'm getting an issue when I try to reboot mine were is gets stuck in a cycle displaying snow and a redline down the centre? Has anyone else had this?
Considering how stunning the medium was at points, especially toward the end and coming from a smaller developer, we should be seeing some impressive results going forward. The loading times never cease to amaze me, doubt I would have made the jump from PC without them. For context, I die a lot, I need quick loading![]()
You'll probably find that these new consoles load everything faster than PC now.
Changed the batteries of my controller yesterday mid game, and then the controller wouldn't connect again.
I had to do a full power cycle on the console to get it to work again. Pain in the bum but thought I'd mention in case anyone else has the issue![]()
