My Game Pass Ultimate is running out soon, I honestly can't think of a need to renew it right now. Is there really nothing spectacular coming until Starfield in November?

If the offer is still on and your going to be buying Xbox live anyway, then topping up for a couple of years for £10 is not a massive extra on top, so you might as well go for it, even if there isn't any announced games you're interested in at the moment.

QQ.

Shutdown tonight and the console simply put the screen black and the console power button pulsed and the controller stayed on.

I waited a minute and then pressed the power button and it just played a little tune.

I waited a little longer then held the power button down. It shutdown.

I turned it on, and all seems fine. Played a few games for a bit and then shutdown fine. Messed about a bit with remote play and did a few shutdowns all good.

In hindsight...was it simply doing some cache clear or an update? Only got Forza, Minecraft and halo installed.

Had the console for 6 days.

Mine did the exact same thing the other day.

Apparently it can be just the system cooling itself down before actually switching off or it was still updating something when you turned it off.

It eventually switched itself off properly abd has been on and off a couple of times normally since

Thanks all. I'll leave it be next time it does it then.
I suppose it depends on what it's doing, but the fact it kept the hdmi active, a simple message wouldn't have gone a miss on the screen.

I have a sound issue with my series X that's happened maybe a total of 6 times since owning it from launch. I'll start playing a game ( doesn't seem to be linked to any particular game ) and I'll start getting some feint beeping coming through my speakers. It gets more and more frequent and louder and louder until I reboot the X then it's gone. Anyone else ever had this or read of others having the issue?

Can anyone recommend a 65" TV in the £1500 range? Would like to avoid Samsung if possible as have been burnt far too many times with their panels.

My son has managed to smash up his TV whilst we were redecorating his room so man maths means I will put the living room telly in his room and buy a new panel that will do 120hz.
