Day one here also, both if my money allows. Kinda wish Microsoft did a Sony and had a full power all digital version, surprised they didn’t with everything seemingly heading towards Gamepass.
Still would buy my imaginary Nintendo 12TB home console with Zelda/F-Zero day one release games though
Well, it should have been cheaper than it was. There really wasn't much incentive to buy one over a regular S.Because the Xbox One S All Digital Edition didn't sell well. Less than a year after it was released and MS decides to discontinue it.
I wouldn't be hugely shocked if the Series S turns out to be disc-free. Chances are, they've approached that machine with a focus on keeping the price down as much as possible. It'll sell because it's a cheap route in to the next gen.
Do we know anything spec about it yet? Or anything for that matter. I'm very curious about it as need a pc upgrade for editing also. So money is very tight.
It's rumoured about 4.5tf iirc? Which is plenty for me
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Xbox-...T-can-it-really-do-1080p-60-FPS.478923.0.htmlNew details have just emerged about the GPU used in the Xbox Series S “Lockhart.” Microsoft’s purported entry level 9th generation console is set to feature 20 RDNA CUs, meaning 1280 shader cores. This compares favourably with AMD’s Radeon RX 5500XT graphics card in the PC space, which features a 22 CU configuration with 1408 shaders.
....
The series S is meant to be getting a much better CPU than what is in the One X. So although it will lack some power in the GOU department, you should see improvements in CPU heavy games.
From the internet gossip, it is supposed to do everything exactly the same as the Series X but at 1080p instead of 4K.
If the backwards compatibility is that good, I wonder if Microsoft might be looking to upload their entire back catalogue onto GamePass..........could make for an amazing nostalgia trip for us older gamers.
Quick question, the summer sale is now on, do the deals remain static over the course of 10 days or do they change daily?
