Yes, I should have said almost no one. Hence the awful numbers playing the game 1 month after launch and how quickly previous gears pvp dies.I do. Not a single online shooter has come even close to giving me the same joy that Gears of War did.

It's a pve game and nothing more. Horde and whatever other pve mode they try does well, even in judgement. PVP dies rapidly, they tried competitive and it's an eyesore to watch because of the hyper bouncing. So that died too. It was great in 2007 but we also had to put up with p2p game connections and host advantage. We have also moved on from that too!Personally, I think things have moved on and the GoW formula is stale.
Looking at the prices on Xbox now, it makes the £333 I paid for a Series X an absolute steal.
I sold it on MM a while back and have returned to PC Gaming, if I ever return or would like a Console alongside PC then it would definitely be a PlayStation now.
I think I'll pick up the PS6 whenever that comes out. Until then the Xbox is fine.Yep this will be the last Xbox I own. TBH if I wasn't previously getting gamepass for so cheap I would've switched years ago. Once I revert to full price I will move to playstation for the next generation. The only Xbox title I play is Gears.
Aren't you concerned about buying new games on a dying platform ? Depending on how things pan out you could lose access to your digital library. If you just use Game Pass, then fair enough ... you'd start afresh next gen and not have lost ( or gained ) anything.I think I'll pick up the PS6 whenever that comes out. Until then the Xbox is fine.
Honestly I've only bought a few games on Xbox. By memory it is some CoD games and some GTA games. The rest is all game pass. The only reason I didn't go for the PS5 Pro was because I didn't want to start a new library mid generation but by the time the PS6 comes out I won't mind as much.Aren't you concerned about buying new games on a dying platform ? I'm not, I used to think that but now I look back at how many games I've actually gone back to again and it's a tiny number of games. For example I've not gone back to anymore than maybe 3-5 xbox 360 games or xbox one games. Thos games are actually xbox arcade games rather than full titles. Not only that because of the complete lack of creativity now lots of games are re-released or remastered.Aren't you concerned about buying new games on a dying platform ? I'm the same, there are very few games I replay. But I'd still like to have the option do so ... and there is a danger that could evaporate with Xbox's current trajectory. And with games becoming increasingly more expensive ( and of poorer quality ) there are more and more people adopting a "patientgamer" stance and playing older games.I'm not, I used to think that but now I look back at how many games I've actually gone back to again and it's a tiny number of games. I don't have a track history with Xbox ; I only bought a Series X to keep myself entertained at the height of the pandemic ( I was excited to try Halo Infinite and FH5 ). If I had a large library of games going all the way back to the OG Xbox it would have been a more difficult decision to walk away from the ecosystem. Also, I don't really play any live service games so losing progression isn't a concern for me. That said, I am playing FH5 again on my PS5 Pro and it didn't carry over my achievements/rank from all my hours played on Series X/PC. A bit annoying, but I enjoy the game so it's not that big a deal ( plus it's funny watching Xbox players think I'm a "noob" in races and then gettting burnedThe 'to sell, or not' question. For me it's not just about the digital library and where my games are, but also where my game progression is. True cross save, or progression is very limited to just a few live service games and most don't bother. I've just amasses 266hrs on The Division 2 (since Jan) and don't think I'd have the stomach to do it again.
I struggled with this one as well. Back in '23 I started to really question MS and their offerings, but still had a number of games where the Xbox Series X was my main platform. So I decided to play my backlog and keep it for legacy games as much as anything. Last year I changed my mind and decided to sell up all my Xbox Series X and accessories. Apart from the money it brought in, it did mean starting out again in a few games, or sometimes putting up with a weaker version. However I feel much better about concentrating my purchases to a smaller number of platforms (Steam, PSN and eShop) where I'm not a huge spender, but do like picking games up in deep sales and adding to the backlog of things to play.
It's Sony now which may be next on the hot seat. Any negatives I perceive with PS6, or something I don't like then I could see myself going all-in on Steam, but there are still some big downsides with PC that people tend to forget. Just had one experience this weekend where the Steam Deck has decided to wipe my 164hrs Brotato save and I think sync that file with the cloudI might be in luck and have an offline save on the old laptop, but it's a pain, particularly when the Steam Deck has been so good at pick up and play between it and my desktop. Certainly I've never had a cloud sync issue wipe game progress on PSN, Switch or Xbox like that.

I find the online service, friend list, joining, adding friends, recent players lists etc miles ahead (actually feels like years of development) of PS Online. It's always been this way since back when the OG Xbox was ready to go online fresh out of the box without the faff of a network adapter. Sony have been playing a losing game of catch up ever since imo.I don't get why so many chat about ditching xbox. To me it's the best platform. I almost never buy games any more and haven't for ages thanks to game pass. I get so many from this service I can't imagine a situation without it. The value for money (using the £1 deal plus gold) is just so good.
Plus the controller is much better than PlayStations.
I will be xbox for my next generation of consoles no question
I prefer the PS5 controller, but I prefer Xbox. I realised I hadn't turned on my PS5 for about 6 months, so I sold it. Both have positives and negatives. The single-player exclusives from PlayStation are worth playing, but once I've caught up, it's redundant. A PS5 Pro may be on my horizon if GTA 6 is as good as it looks.I don't get why so many chat about ditching xbox. To me it's the best platform. There's neither right nor wrong. If you enjoy Xbox, then stay with it. But there can be no denying that the ecosystem has been leeching players for over a decade now, and there are multiple reasons for this. Game Pass clearly is an attraction for some people, but the value proposition has declined in the last 18 months. Within that period there has been two price increases and another is almost certainly due. Yes, you could use MS Rewards to maintain the subscription without paying any real money, but that scheme has been gutted, particularly outwith the US and now feels like a second job. Also, until this last few months there hasn't been a great selection of new games on Game Pass ; most of the catalogue is "filler" - medium to low quality games that aren't highly regarded. There comes a point ( with almost any subscription service ) that a person consumes all the "good" content and then there is nothing worthwhile left. This feeds into Xbox's inability to create high quality AAA games over the last 10-15 years. Given the number of studios it owns / assets available, the output has been shockingly bad until literally the last 6 months.I don't get why so many chat about ditching xbox.
