Cuchulain said:There's a HUGE thread (in fact, a lot of threads) about it on Creatives site. Since installing the latest drivers I've not experienced the problem, used to happen all the time using the drivers from the CD though.

A reboot fixes that, but thats just me wanting to run both at same time. If you disable the onboard its fine.
Its hard to explain the differences. Ive got a Creative 5.1 kit, quite old, and the sounds are just clearer and thats just playing music etc. My speakers arent setup for full surround sound yet so Ive not tested the games, but i can still hear the clarity difference
Quick note, dont get the latest drivers...it forces the centre speaker through the sub for some reason
Instaled my XFI extreme music after completely removing my Audigy 2ZS (including checking the registry) and using the latest Creative drivers (from the website) and hokked up a set of Creative Inspire P5800 5.1 speakers and loaded Quake4 with Open AL and all settings (graphical+Audio) to max at 1600x1200 4xAA/16xAF and its AMAZING.TomL said:I've been reading their forums now, pretty depressing tbh
