** XFX SMASHING IT UP: RADEON FURY ONLY £359.99 Inc. VAT!! **

How much of an upgrade would this be from a 7950? yes I'm still using a 7950 and it has done me well up until recently where the newer titles struggle on my 1080p monitor. Is this worth the price or would I be able to get a better card for the same price when the newer cards are released?

Worth upgrade from my 290 Tri-X? Gaming at 1080?

No, Wait for the next gen cards and more ram. While the Fury does run games really well and allow me to run games at 1440p on my 1080p monitor there are games popping up that want more than 4 gb's of ram and as we saw with Tomb Raider Nvidia are quite happy making it happen so they can put a noticeable divide between there top end chips and AMD's. So wait, A Sapphire 290 is a great card.

Maybe for you because you bought two of them. For the rest of us with only one, 4gb seems perfectly ok.

I disagree, I have been forced to lower settings because of the ram rather than the fps more than once this year. And with Tomb Raider that was at 1080p.

The new cards probably won't show face for a while yet and for that performance, likely cost more. At this price id probably go for it. Would be a really big upgrade.

Great deal, but makes it even harder deciding whether or not to wait for the Polaris launch. Also seems like good timing for xfx to shift as many Fury's prior to that.

This, got one myself, fantastic monitor, FreeSyncs great :)

Yeah, and that trends going to continue as well now imo, games are also coming now, where the recommended cards have more than 4GB vram, they are recommending the 390s on the AMD side, and the 980 Tis on the Nvidia side, which looks stupid doesn't it, as the Ti smashes the 390, you could say, AMD cards must be run the game better, as a 390s only needed for them, where as Nvidia, the top ends needed, but its not going off the performance, its going off the vram, which AMDs top end card doesn't have enough off, so it doesn't get recommended for the games, the lesser 390s do, so are effectively, the better cards.

I certainly wouldn't be buying a card with only 4GB vram now, thats for sure.
