I'd beg to differ on your statement, too.
"Teachers" don't have it one way or the other. My wife is an interim head of dept. and she barely gets a minute to wipe her butt in the evenings, let alone during the day. She's FOREVER working - marking, emailing, dealing with stuff, calling parents, logging this and that, lesson planning. Saturday is probably the only day in the week she legitimately has off, and even then she has to be brought out of the house to do so.
Then you just pray that another member of staff doesn't decide to call her mobile or there's another 40-60 minutes lost as they waffle on about policies, meetings or whatever while she struggles to get them to go away.
On the other hand, I'm sure there are plenty of teachers who only stay until the final bell and do the absolute minimum required during holidays, but do "Teachers" have it easy? Not in my experience.
