XP-120 Hotter than stock cooler

i have put as5 oh the IHS and the heatsink. applied the bracket thing to my mobo. put one side of the heatsink on then cliped the other in place and i have a fan that puts out 78 CFM. my fried thinks it could be a seating problem but its level on the board!!!!

just re seated the heatsink 1 final time. it was 2'c under at idle and its 4-8'c over on load. this is with a akasa amber at full rpm

so looks like it needs to be lapped. make some off the edges try and get the centre to actually hit the IHS...

the guy i bought it off has e-mailed Thermalright and they say that as i have overclocked the fan will not work to its full potential.

could someone please give me some temps with a opty 146 at 2.8 and an xp-120.

im on 53 at the minute on load. converting a dvd. ambient temp is 24'c

EDIT2: just finished converting and its down to 38'c which is what my stock cooler sits at
