Xperia Tablet Z

The nexus 10 is cheaper but that's all you can really say... Not sure why there isn't much hype as for me it looks like an absolutely awesome device.

I've already got rid of my nexus 10 and there is a hole in my life. I'm waiting to see if there are any deals before I order probably some time next week.

Should have the LTE version turning up sometime during next week :D (suprise bonus from work, I'm still on the fence on the battery life and wouldn't have hurried to order one before seeing what people's experience was with it).

Dam, should have ordered it before, going to put my order in tonight and see what happens, did notice sites were saying it was launched today.

Wonder if it's in any shops...

Website is now saying expected delivery 12 - 13 June =/

Hmm 32GB white showing 22 - 23rd May

Edit: Have ordered the 32GB White version, express shows tomorrow or Wednesday for delivery.

No cradle though :(

Mines "supposedly" coming tomorrow but I've had no confirmation.

Mines arrived, first impression its light, portable and somewhat fiddly to get to the ports definitely need good nails.

What kind of time did you get your shipping emails (I gather you ordered from Sony)? Didn't think it would come today but have not received a shipping email yet either.

Edit: NVM, just got the DPD Text

How's the screen quality Rroff?

Screen is sharp, responsive to touch and good color quality, a bit glossy but that will be subject to taste. Seems to be some very minor light bleed along the bottom edge in landscape orientation but only noticeable if you really look for it on a pure black screen.

Portrait mode is slightly dissapointing - theres some IPS type glow at the edges using that orientation - my galaxy note (phone) looks exactly the same in both portrait and landscape.

Overall has the look and feel of a premium tablet. So far everything has been reponsive with very little in the way of slowdown or lag, epic citadel benchmark is mostly hitting well over 60fps at 1920x.

EDIT: Portrait mode isn't broken or unuseable or anything, but it seems to be a trade off with having the overall higher quality screen that it doesn't handle the viewing angles in portrait mode as well as some cheaper screens.

Whilst not good news, I don't think I ever portrait so I guess that won't be a problem, will have a good look at bleed and glow on mine when it comes tomorrow.
