*** Xperia Z2 Official Thread ***

Its sharp, flat and slippery. The edges dig into your palm. Its not comfortable to hold and gets covered in fingerprints. If that's your thing then fine.

No it isn't, its smooth, flat and made of glass.

That is occasionally my thing which is why I'm here talking about the phone, I'm more curious as to why you're here wasting your time on something that clearly doesn't suit you?

I don't spend long on crochet forums or contributing to threads about French football or fois gras.. life's too short.

I tried it out. For me it was big and not comfortable.

It also has many issues as mentioned in this thread.

Became increasingly aware that the bottom of my half of my screen is noticeably darker than the top, the result comes across as making it look somewhat 'yellow' in comparison to the upper half. anyone else have this?

Do you think this should be returned under faulty goods?

Yes, definitely.

I noticed a similar tinting on both the handsets i had. It was more yellow on the bottom half.

Just finally made a call to voda after being out of contract for a month. Got a fairly good deal I think. Unlimited calls and texts, 4 gig data, and a free phone for £31.50

No added freebies, but I'm happy with that : )

I've still not seen these digitiser marks on mine.

Get it in bright sunlight and tilt it beyond an angle that you'd actually use it at and they're very easy to see.

As for a previous posters comments about the flaps falling off after 3 months, the ones on my Xperia S were still ok after 2 years with daily charges but I decided I'd rather not take any chances with the waterproofing so picked up a magnetic charging cable for a couple of quid.

Look in the notification bar? ;) It's probably xperia lounge / xperia update or something. Use lightflow if you'd like more control over the LED, it's got free / paid versions (paid allows for app alerts but you don't really need them much).

Went to bed last night with about 90% charge but I tried to check and the phone would not switch on/respond.
Stuck it on charge and at 3pm and little sleep I checked again. No response.
Managed to get it back on holding the volume and power button but this has me worried as to why this has happened.
Has anyone else experienced this?

the times don't make sense there but basically you're saying it was charged but non responsive?

If a volume/power combo got it it sounds like it may have crashed, I've had various android phones do that to me, basically they look on (ie notification lights flashing, handset maybe warm etc) but don't respond and are a pig to restart.

if it happens a few times then maybe its a problem but once I'd say is just an android thing.

Ah yes I meant 3am. Stupid phone and it's auto correct.

Probably was a crash. My S3 would do it and I suppose I would normally pull out the battery and not give a second thought.

Mines been running fairly stable without any issues. The only thing i've noticed that does bug me is that a number of apps remain open in the background. Coming from an S2 with only 1gb of RAM, it's possible that a lot of the apps are auto-killed when another app requires more RAM. However on the Z2, even having 3gb of RAM, i noticed the phone typically is always consuming 1.5-2gb.

I had the same thing.

I keep turning on my screen to see my wallpaper has gone and is instead showing what looks like corrupted images. Only happens once or twice a day.

Two examples.

Phone is rooted

Any idea?

That looks like a widget or lock screen replacement has gone a bit mad tbh.

However.. rooted you say? How so? Is this doable without messing with bootloader unlocks?
