Got mine today, very impressed with it!

Purchased late last Monday from the eBay seller sharing its name with the large Korean based manufacturer, £229.99 inc Fedex delivery.

Yes the stand is poor and lack of OSD annoying, but the screen itself is incredible. Its not a budget panel, really is on the same level as the likes as the iMac 27" and Dell U2711. Unbeatable value for money would recommend 100%

(quite hard to get the flash right as the screen is so bright!)

I read this thread all the way through and decided to take the plunge a couple of days back and purchased from the seller samsung_korea. Hoping to get it in time for my birthday :)

Nice choice, and that's the seller I used the service can't be faulted.

so is the crossover the same monitor except for the stand?

seriously intrested currently have a dell 2405 should be a decent upgrade
will a 8800gt be ok, only tv and internet (no games)

Should be fine, running mine on a 9600GT.

Yeah bugger it I think I'll just order one as soon as the cheque I paid in today clears (seriusly how bad are banks in 2012!) The rest can wait and moved around but for the price I think this has to be worth the punt especially given the numbers of good to not so good panels being pretty favourable.

As for the stand being **** I couldn't care less, my Dell has a good screen and the stand is pretty much useless, all I care about though is the panel. Anyone taking the time to read up on these know the panels are very good and eveything leaves a little to be desired, take a look at the price and decide if you care more about a 2560*1440 27" IPS relatively high grade panel for around £220-£230 or pay a shed load more for a Dell or similar?

Like I said I don't notice the little things so much when it comes to monitors so I'll take my chances (weird though cause the little things in terms of keyboards, mice, noise, really really bug me. Oh well horses for courses as they say).

And has anyone noticed that similar 30" panels are avilable on you know here bay but they aren't nearly as good value in comparison to 27" ones, probably for the fairly obvious reasons of supply but can't help think that in 18-24 months might be a similar situation with 30" models? :)

Thinking of getting one of these? what do I need to know. I prefer 120hz so the faster the refresh rate the better. trust me if u cant say on here :) ty

100hz is still good enough where will I find this? :)

Or is it worth waiting for the ones they are going to sell pre-clocked that I read?

Go to the forum stated in page 1 and you'll get all your answers as you filter through some threads over there.

If 120hz is such an issue you why aren't you just getting a readily available 23-30'' monitor @1080p if you don't mind my curiosity. This is a purchase more image quality/higher resolutions and a ridiculously cheap price compared to what's readily available. Although a little overclocking helps with gaming performance I suppose if your GPU can handle it.
