Yanny or Laurel?

Heard this on the radio yesterday morning ,laurel, same thing on TV that afternoon, yanny, seems dependent on the source
It can depend on the source, but I've tried with the same phone speaker at work and some people can hear Yanny and some Laurel when listening at the same time.

I hear 'Yammy' weirdly, on every speaker/headphones I have.

I've just heard "Yammy" on a co-workers phone!

A lot of phones built in speaker(s) have very poor bass response.

For me to hear Yanny I have to kill almost the entire frequency range and the end Y only comes from the sweep of general noise as the recording fades out at the end - the video TwsT posted in the bit where they cut out the lower frequencies sounds more like Yamm (with a slight ee at the end) to me - need to cut out more to get a Y at the end.

i hear both, bite me.

I heard yanny to start with but can clearly hear laurel when you focus on the deeper notes.

helps quite a lot

Wow, yes that does it. I still hear Yanny on the left hand wave, but take out the high frequency part and I hear Laurel as clear as day, and when it's just the high frequency I hear Yammy

Yea, really good video to show the differences

I think because I listen to headphones a lot and have spent a lot of time listening to whats going on in the background I was able to pick it out but I definitely without a doubt heard yanny first.
