You had one Job Jonathan from DPD!

When I complained to DPD, I was told that the driver gets paid according to the amount of successful drops, like this was some kind of assurance that it was in the driver's best interest to make the delivery. Yeah! Sure! no other factors involved at all :(

Well this seems to be Johnny boys regular way of doing his drops so he must not be getting paid very well. :D

I feel like DPD drivers don't get paid enough to have these convict like mugshots to show to everyone. This is likely why you aren't getting your parcel.

I'm also watching DPD's twitter like a hawk just to be up dated on the outcome ASAP. :p

Guy probably was too freaked out to leave his van due to the weirdo waiting in the window glaring at each and every passer by. The phone plugged into charge in his hand showing that the window man with very little to do, had probably been there until his battery started to run out. :p

The thing I don't get when they do this is, why? Why not deliver or even get out or pretend you tried? Surely they work shifts so don't get to leave early once "finished"?

I suspect they do get to leave early if they deliver or record a fail to deliver everything on board.
Andi.

Never had that with DPD but other couriers have been known for doing the same as they haven't even got the parcel on the van that day but have to appear like they have.

DPD, MyHermes, Yodel, all been perfect for me. Parcelfarce, not so much. Amazon logistics have been a bit dodgy too with non deliveries.

Why exactly do delivery drivers do this?

There is a problem with DPD themselves if drivers are skipping drops... unreasonable time constraints?

Spot on, A few of my drivers do courier work at this time of year when the holiday seasons off.

One guy works for DPD in Sheffield and he has to drive upto York and do 80-100 drops a day.
