You know you're getting old: when everything about your youth is now viewed as "problematic".
I think mine were over £350Mine were £600 but my left eye is really weak so he said he would only do 1 varifocal lens for my better eye. If it had been 2 lenses it would have been another £200.
Not cheap but on a cost per wear rate its less than a pound a day if they last 2 years.

Why are you watching TV on your phone? At your age you would need at least a 65" oneduring the TV ads, you forget what program you're watching.
By the time you've picked up and unlocked your phone, you forget what the hell you were going to check.
