YouFibre

Cheers I tried asking them anyway.

Support chat is in the phone app now, which is a real pain to log in to because it clears the username and password every time you tab out to go into your password manager to get the username and password. So getting logged in was fun. However having it on your phone is a bit less annoying than having to sit at the pc waiting for a reply.

Anyway, got through to a person and evaded their troubleshooting and the new router should arrive in a couple of days. Fingers crossed..

What is the installation experience like for those in new-build properties where the builder has already installed FTTP that terminates inside the small utility closet they usually provide.

My current fibre entry point is at the front of the house, but the ONT is located in a closet at the rear of the property (near the kitchen) alongside the electrics. How do the installation engineers typically handle this if you want the new YouFibre ONT placed in that same rear closet? Do they run the fibre around the exterior of the house to the back? Also, I assume they aren't permitted to interfere with the existing Openreach entry point?

For me that utility cupboard was upstairs and they weren't willing to put their ONT in the same place as the Openreach ONT so they put it in the living room instead next to the TV.

Looking at their Reddit page, Youfibre's merger with BRSK has left a lot of BRSK customers angry with the pricing and customer service. Are YF now going to have too many customers? Their customer service wasn't always great even before the merger.

Performance wise I haven't noticed any difference since the merger. Was paying £35 for 2gbps and was told prices wouldn't change. Not been billed by YouFibre yet but get an email saying sorry for a mishap with bill and I'll get a correct, updated invoice in closer to billing date. Did t think anything of it as I hadn't received a bill yet. Other day my bill comes through, £56.05! Tried to contact via their chat service to clarify if this is the mistake or my "amended" bill but their chat was disabled due to high demand...tried again another day, still disabled. Sent an email...still waiting for reply.

Not a great start tbh.

Called YouFibre yesterday and I was told I won't be charged £56.05 and it will just be my usual £35.
Today I've got an email saying there's an debit initiated by Stripe for £56.05 and will be taken on or after 7/4/26....…

Been on You fibre 1gig for about 3 months, North Nottinghamshire. Speeds seem fine as advertised , Gaming pings much better and more consistent from day to evening compared to Virgin.

No major issues but.. web browsing has occasionally seemed slow with a delay after typing in an address etc on both the standard router and my own.

Changed DNS to Cloud flare and also tried Google and it's been fine since.

Anyone else having issues with seeing your networks but no internet connection. Have to keep resetting Nest and Hue and its driving me nuts.

After all these years I've finally been able to ditch VirginMedia (I'm welling up with tears as I type) and have my YouFibre install slated for Tuesday. Went with the You2000 which is on offer until the end of the month for £30/month. Also got £40 off with TCB and £75 credit for friends referral which over the year works out at £20.42/month.

I'll be using it with my Asus router (please forgive me @Rainmaker :)) and will see if I can do everything I need without the static IP address for £5/month extra.

Getting this setup today on the 2gig package.

I have a RT-AX55 wifi6 Asus router, how is the router with YouFibre and is it worth either keeping the Asus router or upgrading?
