Currently running two gaming rigs:

Lounge PC: 9700k & 980Ti
Office PC: 5820k & 980Ti

Plan for 2020 is to upgrade the Lounge PC 980Ti to a 3080/3080Ti and put the 980Ti back into the office PC SLI. CPU wise I am happy, considered replacing 5820k with a 6850k but not sure it will be worth it, might just hold off and replace with 10/11 series Intel CPU when prices come down.

Sticking with my GTX1070 for at least another year and no plans to upgrade anything else this year. My next platform upgrade will be most likely when AMD come out with AM4's replacement but not until 6 months or more after launch so that bugs have been mostly ironed out of the boards. I may upgrade the gpu at the same time but at the moment my 1070 is more than enough for my needs.

My only plan for 2020 is to upgrade my monitor from 27" 1080p/60 to 32" 1440p/144. I'm playing older games so they'll be butter smooth on high settings (I'll be playing this years games in a few years time when they're fully patched and reduced in price).

It's ironic that unstable and unpatched games are much more expensive than they'll be when they're fully patched with bug fixes, extra features and more content. I'll wait.

Nice. I really must get myself a better paying job :D If I can rustle up the funds for big Navi I think I'll be set for a while. The Galaxy Note 4 will have to keep on trucking for another year I think.

I'm still on a 4690k and GTX970 8GB RAM.

Looking at Zen 3 32GB RAM and the best bang for buck card that will do 4k60 this year for MS Flight Simulator, RDR2, and Cyberpunk as my current setup is struggling with X Plane 11.

Might also upgrade my Note 8.

All games I've got my eye on too. Whatever comes out should push 1440p 144Hz easily. Think I'll wait a couple of more gens for 4K. Seems like it came out a long time ago, hopefully by then microled might be a thing with decent HDR.

I was on a 1660ti with a 1080p 144hz monitor, but then in January I moved to a 3440x1440p 75hz monitor. It was too much for the little guy so I sold it and now am looking to get a 5700XT or 2060/2060 Super

Currently.
  • 3900X / RTX 2080 / 4x8Gb / 1440p 144hz UW
  • 3900 / GTX 1080ti / 2x8Gb / 1440p 144hz UW
I will upgrade the 1080ti this year, but I'm not sure what with.
Highly depends on what offers the best performance to price ratio.
Maybe an RTX 3070 or an discounted RTX 2080ti.
Or maybe I'll switch over to AMD this time.

Until I see some reviews and hard facts I cannot say with any certainly.

I want to upgrade to a 2080ti from my current 2080, but thinking i'll wait for 3080ti instead.

I'd also like to upgrade to 4k, but not sure about refresh rates being held as high as current 1440.

Upgrade plans for this year?

I would like to:
- upgrade my 6600k to a 10 series i7 or Ryzen equivalent.
- upgrade my 1060 6gb to a 2070 or equivalent.
- watercool the system (have been itching to do it for years and now the mid-life crisis is kicking in).
- upgrade my 1080p 60hz to 1440p 144hz (not many options for 23-24" IPS screens though, can't go larger because of limited desk space).

I will most likely:
- upgrade the monitor.

I would say you will need more grunt than that.

I have a 3440x1440 120hz, even trying to get stable 75-90fps in BF5 I have to play at medium settings and I have a 2070 Super. At high settings it was dipping down to 60-65 a lot.

It's why I'm looking at a new 3080, wouldn't have bothered on my old monitor (1440p 144hz)
