In various places around me, roads are closed due to flooding.
Always get idiots who think they can drive through flooded roads.
Then their cars give up after engine floods etc.
Why do people do this? They do realise that their cars insurance won’t pay out. Also they should be billed by the Fire and Rescue Service too
"Like a glovE!"
Not true. Insurance will usually pay out.In various places around me, roads are closed due to flooding.

I did say usuallyNot always - though a little different to private ownership, one of my colleagues has written off one of the work vans in recent flooding and insurance are refusing to pay out saying they shouldn't have sent the van out in the first place with the conditions.
EDIT: Also ended up being 13 grand worth of damage rather than the 11 grand I mentioned before - result being they've written off a fairly new van.
Had my regular moron sitting in the turn right only lane try to beat me off the lights and jump in to the left lane. You can usually tell because they come out of a line of cars behind you with their intent clearly advertised. This time it was a BMW i3 who decided an I-Pace was just another pushover. One of those EV owners who believe the hype their EV at 7.4 seconds 0-60 is special.
It’s always the same junction as well and I have lost count of the times it happens. They think getting a few cars ahead is a big achievement.

I wonder if their balls were showingRe-he-he-eally?
Did you beat them in the traffic light GP?![]()
As soon as any private hire driver gets their private hire license their actual driving licence if they did have one goes straight in the binAnd another uber driver just pulling straight out of a side road in front of me. That involved a stamp on the brakes and a near collision. Just a wave from the **** and off he goes on his merry way.
I'm sure some of these people don't have licences.
Nothing says you're about to see some awful driving like an "Addison Lee" sticker across the back window. As soon as any private hire driver gets their private hire license their actual driving licence if they did have one goes straight in the bin

I’m sorry, but getting involved in said traffic light GP makes you just as irresponsible as them as all you’re doing is upping the chances of road rage and a potential accident.
It’s not a question of them being in the wrong, you both were.
