Your car appears to be scared of the ground...

well then your grandad is being ripped off. mk2 escorts make strong money, even rusty ones.

A slight scratch / coming together with some bad driver a while ago on the back corner on one side, no MOT, not tax, and really any point getting those done ?

Haha.

Your granded just missed out on the gravy train it would seem. Mechanic next door will be rubbing his hands with glee.

Like the bloke who sold his AE86 to a friend for £150 because it was "noisy and annoying". He had no idea what he was selling.

My grandads car, same colour too.

THink it's being taken away by the mechanic next door as scrap. I think he's giving my grandad £30 for it.
Er...You do realise that even a snotter is worth a few hundred quid don't you?
And the price of scrap is right up atm; I'd expect at least 80 quid in my hand if I weighed it in.

O ye i do, just no time to sort it out and he just wants away with it. I would love to clean it up and flog it on ebay just like it is, but with just moving to london im a bit screwed for time.

What do you recommend I do, just asked mother and it ain't gone yet?

sorry for the hijack :D

I see the Ford Fiesta 1.1 Popular Plus Van has now reached the age where it magically transforms from a heap of crap into "retro".

just tell the mechanic it has too much sentimental value to scrap, then advertise it on somewhere

Shut up Scuzi, you clearly dont get it. These are not a bunch of people driving around in cheap bangers, they are true enthusiasts modifying classic retro cars.

:eek:That looks broken! :D

I do like some of those. Others not so much.

All of them have more character and charm than modern Beemers and the like, even if they don't have the same level of kit/ride comfort etc.

Not my cuppa at all, but each to their own. I have about 40 'retro' home computers going back to ZX80 and Acorn Atom, all boxed, all mint, so I can see the appeal of rubbish stuff that is useless in the real world. ;)

Not a dig Penski, but is there a reason that none of the owners sort the body before spending cash on dropping them as far as they can? Some of these look pretty cool, but for me at least, they would look a lot better without the rust.
