Learned to drive in a 2003 Peugeot 307/2006 Peugeot 207.

My own cars:
1997 Ford Fiesta 1.25 Ghia (sold)
2003 Renaultsport Clio 172 Cup (sold)
2005 Honda S2000 (sold)
2014 Fiesta ST1 (sold)
2006 Honda Civic Type-R (current)

I should've kept the S2000. Magical car, but I feel privileged to have owned that incredible machine :)

Learnt to drive in a Ford Fiesta! No idea what it was - I was young and clueless!

2002 - (1994) Fiat Punto 1.1 SX
2003 - (1996) Phase 1 Peugeot 306 1.9 D Turbo (by far the quickest car I've ever owned btw)
2006 - (1995) JDM MKIV Honda Prelude BB4 2.2 Si VTEC
2009 - (1995) UK Spec MKIV Toyota Supra TT6 (BPU+)
2010 - (2003) E46 BMW 330Ci (ESS TS3 Supercharged)
2013 - (2006) C219 Mercedes CLS55 AMG (Eurocharged Stage 1+)

Quite a short list compared to some in here!

2004 Passed my test and drove about in my mums Renault Clio mk1 and drove it and the mk2 ka that replaced it for a few years while at uni.

2008 - VW Polo 6n2 1.0 (2000), an absolute lemon that tried to kill me twice during a year and a half of ownership. Brakes failed coming off a motorway early one Saturday, thankfully was able to stop it with the gearbox and handbrake due to no traffic at the junction. The second failure was the clutch parting ways with the pedal leaving me stuck in 2nd trying to join a motorway that was scary, replaced due to fear for my life and getting a proper job with ...

2009 - Vauxhall Astra H 1.6 (2006), loved this car at the time and learnt how to service and work on a car. Probably ruined it a little with a silly exhaust and stereo but a very reliable car that I traveled all round Ireland in camping, foolishly replaced by ...

2011 - Renault Clio mk III 1.5 (2011), idiotic purchase due to getting married and thinking I needed to be sensible and have a non chav'd up car that was cheap to run, I now know better and this was possibly the last new car I'll buy. Slower than a slow thing and with less soul than a dementor, kept for a whole 10 months before replacing with ...

2012 - Honda Civic FK3 2.2 (2008), great car would probably still keep it if the clutch wasn't so poor, would probably get the petrol Type S if I was buying another, replaced when it needed a 2nd clutch and flywheel

2016 - Honda Civic EP3 2.0 (2001) This is friggin awesome, the paint is a mess but it drives amazingly and produces a smile on most occasions. I wouldn't want this as our only car but thankfully we can take the wifes Ibiza if we are going long distances and for me pootling to work 3 days a week and fannying about at the weekend its perfect. I fully intend to run it into the ground unless baby gambisk requires something bigger than the Ibiza.

Bonnie Scotland...and sometimes Denmark!
2006-2012 : Fiat Punto 1.2 (2001), Great little first car, bought for £3k and gave me very few problems.

2012-2012 : Renault Laguna 2.0 (2008), Was doing a lot of motorway miles and taking golf stuff with me to Leeds and back every weekend (from Glasgow), so bought this wanting something a little bigger and more comfy. Bought it Feb for 7k and traded in in October.

2012 - 2017 : Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 (2010) : Always liked the look of the Insignia's and it had much more tech than the Laguna, bought for about 10k.

2017 - : Jaguar XF R-Sport 2.0 180 (2017) : First new car and absolutely loving it. Got it in the new Caesium Blue and it really makes it stand out. Perfect size for me and all my golf stuff, handles the motorway mileage like a dream and has enough space for the little one coming later this year!

If I keep following this pattern my next car will be a 2019 Fiesta RS if such a thing would ever be made :D

Bit of a dull list really. Though I've had that Mito since 2011 and looks like it's staying a while yet. Never envisaged keeping a car that long, least of all an alfa.

Wow, there are some epic histories in this thread, makes mine look very underwhelming...

2008 (Passed test), K Reg 106 1.1. Gearstick was akin to that which you'd find in a old lorry. Sounded like a tank.
2008/9 Rover 214si. Serious upgrade compared to the Pug.
Uni
2014-15 Honda Jazz 1.4 (05). Was a bargain. Got written off.
2015-16 Alfa Romeo 156 1.9JTDm (05). Turbo started to go, really sad as I loved the car.
2016-17 Ford Focus Zetec 2.0l (54). No real reason for sale, other than I got the below for £530.
2017-? Rover 25 Gti 1.8VVC (00). Very pleased so far, I love bangers and this is a real treat of one.

Why did your car history start going uphill until you got the Alfa, then start going downhill again after you sold it? :p

Good question :D given all that was wrong with the Alfa in the end, I got discouraged from buying anything with a turbo/ could be pricey to fix. Hence the Focus. Buy hey, the 25Gti is a real head turner, mainly because they're looking for where the tit with the exhaust is coming from :p
