Your current Fish tank Setups!

Just got myself a little tank on a whim! Used to have a Fluval Edge at my last flat but I learnt my lesson with how much of a ***** it was to clean without a tank-wide opening at the top. Anyway this little thing was reduced in Pets at Home and it actually seems pretty good!

It sits in the living room next to the recliner part of the sofa so it's at leg height, and perfect size for our little side table there. The pump is hidden in the back (and is also very quiet!) and the light is touch sensitive between white/white & blue/blue. Had a 10% discount voucher and a further 10% off at Pets at Home through Lloyds so it was £38.47 all-in for everything - quite pleased :).

We're away for a week in a few days so we'll probably get a single Betta or similar once we're back.

Need advice!
Just getting back into tropical fish, have a small tank that is just about done cycling, which is all good. However, a friend has a larger tank that she is wanting me to take off her hands, gratis :D (as long as I allow the goldfish it comes with to live out its days in it (no problem to me)
What I need, due to lack of space, is something like the old school metal stands that I could put both tanks on, one above the other, but I cant find any. Anyone know of anything similar that might be suitable?

You can get them on ebay mate.

Tank really coming on now, made the tough choice to go with a Powder blue as the tank is in the best bet to avoid WS as no other stresses in there! QT tank at the ready though lol.

Has anyone moved their fish and got advice how to achieve it? - were moving about 3 hours drive away so i need to work out how to transport my fish, plants and tank to their new location - really not sure how to go about keeping them safe and warm enough.... its only a small - 45L tank so hopefully won't be too much hassle!

Should be pretty straightforward at this time of year. Buy one of those plastic storage boxes (with a decent lid). Decant a decent amount of water from the tank, plus fish/plants. Keep the heater and filter running in the box until just before you leave, then reconnect them once you get to the other end. Re-use as much water as possible when setting up at the other end.

tesco sell 25l tubs with lids for a few quid.

use one of these as a holding tank for a day or so with a small heater and basic filter.

even if its a smaller tank, it will only be for a day or so max while you can set your main up and let it settle.

then you can move the fish in bags to the new holding tank and take your time moving and seting up the main tank.

I am hoping to use some of your collective experience here OcUK peeps..
I have ordered some marimo balls for my desk at work, I intended to put them into a small filtered tank, of around 1-2 litres.
I was hoping for a tall/square sectioned tank with a small filter to keep water moving. The end goal would be to add at the most 2 shrimp if the water quality was suitable after a few weeks.
However, I am coming up very short on finding a suitable tank. If you have seen anything that might suit, and can point me towards it, that would be great!

I want something on my desk that does not look like a square blob fish tank, but almost a decorative vase, but with a hidden filter.

The closest I have come so far is a small battery powered "fake jellyfish" type thing.

Im planning on moving this month and have a 200 litre tank and a 60 litre one, plan is I have 2x 25litre buckets with lids and 2x 25litre containers with caps, and then local fish shop is going to lend me another few 25 litre containers so I can keep 75% of my water.
