Your current Fish tank Setups!

I'm going with a similar set up to what they recommended in my 60L. Don't have the Betta yet but have a couple amano shrimp, male endlers and a couple horned nerites snails. Got some Anubias, java ferns, Marino balls etc. Pretty straight forward and easy to maintain so far but could all go wrong if the Betta I get turns out to be hyper aggressive.

With a tank that size it might be best to stick to shrimp/snails with the Betta.

A Betta splendens will not appreciate having colourful fish as tank mates, or rather, they will most likely kill the likes of Neon Tetras; Endler Guppies etc. in a small tank. Small shrimp won't last long either!

Our betta is fine with Neon tetras, as was the one we had before, although obviously this is also down to the individual personality of the fish. This is in a 55L tank with lots of plants to hide behind though

Some fish can also be small and fast enough to avoid it if given shelter. The Betta should give up trying after awhile and settle down but yeah it can really be down to their personality.

Part of the concern is actually the small fish nipping at the Betta and being a nuisance. Just have to be lucky if pairing in a small tank. Large tanks equals larger chance of success but nothings quaranteed with a Betta.

I'd be more concerned about the betta being attacked than them being the aggressor with smaller fish, try as they might they are to slow to get near anything like a tetra. But it will stress them out.

We had a betta with some emba tetra's, they were getting along fine for 8months, then they started chomping at his tail, so they've been moved into another tank. its all hit and miss but keeping anything with with a male betta is going to need a constant watch for any shenanigans from either party. a 60l you could keep a few female betta's, not quite as fancy as the males but you can still get some really nice ones, get them from the same batch and they should be ok together. Not with endlers though irc they are fin nippers?

They're considered to be less nippy than a lot of the tetra species from what I know and are kept fairly commonly with Bettas. I'm referring to the endler livebearers (black bar endlers) and not the endler guppies with the larger tails which would be a no go.

If it goes wrong I already know my local Maidenhead aquatics will take them in. Been breeding them and already given them my females back. Just waiting for my young ones to mature then I'll keep the best and get rid of any others and Introduce the Betta.

Birthday present for GF, (Fluval Roma 240), paid £175 for it off facebook, pretty much mint condition with LED light upgrade, Fluval 306 external filter, Eheim 200 air pump, and 3 heaters, found it a bit scary having 2 holes in the bottom of the tank for the filter!

Anyway been a long day, took me 8 hours to upgrade from her existing tank, an old 120 litre fishbox, Just waiting for the water to clear now.

BiOrb 35L with RGB. I usually leave it on blue as it goes with the decor.

Just in the process of cycling our tank ready for some Neons and Zebra Cory of I can find any.
Wife also wants some guppies.

Day 9 and it's Ammonia 0, Nitrite 2, Nitrate 20.
So on with a 50% water change later and top back up with Ammonia, and feed the plants.

Also seen a few snails, presumably from the plants.
How can I kill them. No fish in the tank yet.

Got the new tank setup. It's the Fluval Roma 200. Upgrade from a 72L tank. Also, fish have fully recovered from their white spots and are back to their usual selfs of trying to pull out the plants.

I pretty much only buy tissue culture and plants grown and held above water now because of snails. A few melted leaves is well worth not having to deal with them.

I got mine from somewhere that does that, still got snails.

Snails to get rid of the snail? Considering some zebra as a clean up crew but think my rams & loach may munch them...

Yes, Assassin snails eat other snails.
