Your favourite chilli sauce is?

Just got some of this.

Sriracha Blackout. Decently sources spicy.

And this Sriracha Lemongrass. Pretty tasty.

However I find them both a little bit too salty, so although I like the flavours I won't be having them again.

Chilli 70%, Sugar, Salt, Garlic, Water, Acidity Regulators: E260, Flavour Enhancer: E621, Stabiliser: E415, Preservative: E202.

Know idea why they use so much salt.

Works as a preservative to give it a better shelf life once opened I imagine.

Haven’t tried the above flavours but the extra garlic one is great.

My absolute favourite is any of the Marie Sharp's Habanero sauces. The range in heat but they are all incredibly tasty.

Also love Tabasco Scorpion Sauce.

Then the Blair's Sudden Death Sauce is also top notch.

Maybe I enjoy too many hot sauces actually.

I just wish they were cheaper here.

I dont like anything that hot, so basic bitch stuff. Franks is good and nice and vinegary. I like melting a cube of butter and incorporating it.

This makes a nice change to franks... it's pretty mild despite being called hot sauce! tasty too... I like franks red hot, but find I get sick of the vinigar/citrus overtones after a while...this one is more fruity..

Made myself another hot sauce last night.

Used the above recipe but swapped Scotch Bonnet's for Habanero's and added an ounce of Reapers, an ounce of Ghost Peppers and an ounce of Scorpions to give it a kick.

Got a rich flavour like tomato sauce and a slightly bitter aftertaste from the seeds. Bit of a tip of the tongue burner so goes down well.

My go to sauce is Encona original. I go through about 1 bottle a week. It is occasionally on offer at Heron foods which is like Iceland, 69p for the big squeezy bottle.
Wow, that is some discount. I also really like the encona sauces and the large squeezy bottle is about £2.20 at the major supermarkets. Ill be popping to Iceland in future. Thanks for the info!

i had some franks yesterday. not had it in a while and i remembered why i dont touch it much. bit boring not much taste. dunno why it gets good ratings. encona far better as a usual every day sorta hot sauce.

While in Thailand we drove to Siracha to meet some of my wife’s family for a meal, we stopped off and bought some of the so called original ‘SriRacha sauce’ (apparently there’s a little bit of a dispute over the origins)

Got to say it’s lovely stuff , didn’t get a red hot bottle but it’s spicy enough and tastes great

Probably not worth it's own thread but this made me laugh!!

Some of those imported instant noodle can be pretty fierce, but to be fair, what do you expect if you buy noodles that say 3x hot, and fearure pictures of fire breathing chickens and cherry bombs on the packet!!! :D
