If it has to be one:

Wow - from original release day up until TBC release. The levelling, guilds, dungeons, pvp, gearing, getting your first epic mount, the first time in molten core with 39 others, seeing a thunderfury for the first time, even the general chat... the list goes on and on.

The most mind blown was probably playing the original Resident Evil on PC though, which I believe was one of the earlier games to require a gfx card to play. Seeing that first zombie scene in the mansion shortly after the intro video and you just knew it was going to be like nothing else.

Counterstrike in its various forms

Half life 2

GTA Vice City + GTA 5

World of Warcraft - Day 1 player and I’m still subscribed for better or worse

PUBG even when it was buggy and unoptimised as hell, put 1k hours into it over time and had an absolute blast with friends

The Halo series

The Doom series, it’s the only game franchise I’ve consistently bought each new release for just one playthrough, the carnage is unmatched

Hollow Knight
LoZ: Ocarina of Time (it being of the era)
Resident Evil 4 (original)

Others that I previously thought were excellent, at the time, were Uncharted 2 and God of War 3.
