ok find me a gemballa gt coupe (based on 996) for sale . . . . . . . . even one supplied as parts only will do. lhd or rhd, im easy.

also for the dutch guy, no its not the 997 GT that is in all the magazines and on the web over the past few weeks, its the older one from 2001, not as fast, not as trick, not turbo. the new one is amazing though, , , , , , , I think GT3RS (or CS mabe) or GT2 will be next though.

Have you posted pics of this thing yet, you keep banging on about it like we should all drop to our knees and worship you, i've got a good idea what it looks like but not 100% sure.

Make: Ford
Model: Sierra 2.0iGLS
Year: 1986
Cost: £800

Features:
No wheel arches after the body filler fell off.
No ignition barrel or steering lock after someone stole it.
Puddles in the driver's footwell when it rained.
Different coloured offside rear door after the paint that was holding the original one together fell off.
Wouldn't idle (teaches you to heel and toe pretty damn quickly).
Yet with 125hp to the rear, I bet it was all worth it :)

The Sierra 2.0 GLSi is one of my all time favourite cars, in Sapphire form. It's not the best at anything, but will always be special for me. Brings back so many childhood memories, ha ha.

Just about to say the same thing...

Pics please?

Ford Corsair V4 1700cc. Made in 1970 and I bought it in 1977 for £320. Kept it for 6 years and then sold it to my boss for his son for £280. Those were the days when all spare parts came from the scrap yard so it was cheap to run when I was a student and the first couple of years of working.

British Leyland Mini cost me £200 in 1993 :) Cost £400 to insure third party only, which I thought was extortionate at the time but its nothing really! Went on to have about another 7 Minis.

Yeah. I have fond memories of that car. It was a huge laugh in the wet. Swapped ends quite frequently though.

Youngsters these days don't know what they are missing with their FWD, neutral handling Euro crap-boxes.

My 2nd car was an old Sierra, a 1.6 unfortunately but the rear wheel drive was great fun, just a shame the engine was crap and prolly lost a lot of bhp, in the end the head gasket cracked on the motorway dumping all the oil on the road :(

Nice, how many times a day did that break down?

Put it like this - the RAC wrote to me and refused to offer renewal.

Due to some rust issues around the floor pan, it was an Irish cabriolet.
