Your first car

Vauxhall
2002 Corsa SXi 1.2
£5000

My Current car

Managed to haggle £500 pound off it and because I got it from Picador, I got a good warrenty package aswell.

Never had a single problem with it but it's due for its first service soon. I had one of my mates pour salad cream over it because he thought it was funny. Shame it had vineger in it and I didnt find out for two days. Managed it eat it's way to the steel. Luckily it's not very noticable and I always wanted to spray the corsa black.

It can be a bit sluggish in the low rev's but once it gets going it's quite nippy.

Brings back sooo many good memories, I should have kept the car and done it up instead trading it in for a Vauxhall Calibra :(

I was gonna say you must be getting on in life :p

Just so there's no mistake here, I was talking about the Olds.

I'm not quite up there with Harley and Drawoh Tesremos, but I will say that I could probably pat most of the membership here on the head and feel quite right in saying, "nice kid".....

Called BOB because the numberplate was BDB. Loved that car. Exactly the same as the one John Cleese attacks in Clockwise

Price: £650

Good first car lasted me a year before I sold it on for £800. Slow and noisy, wind up windows and no power steering but gave great mpg.

My first car is my 1.8D fiesta quartz (96 N). Cannot remember the price but bought it about 5 years ago second hand.
I like the noise it makes and do not mind the hard handling either.
We get on fine, though we both have our moments.

Such a rubbish car and fun car at the same time. One one hand it was tatty, not to quick, and unrefined. On the other it was cheap to run, practical, responsive to drive and just generally good fun.

Model: Visa 1.4
Price: £400

An absolute shed ! .. drove like a tank, wind up everything, only dent free bit was the roof, no heating, had a push button start because the starter barrell went so my Dad's mate just wired the starter motor to a spare button on the dash

Awesome car, loved it :D Reg was C888 ETH so I called it Seth hehe

Was most upset when it got written off :( .. not my fault I would like to add :p

VW
Polo 1.1 - 1979 V Reg
£475

Nice little car as my first one and lasted until I rolled it into a ditch and bent the chassis after about 6 months of driving. :(

Served me right for being a complete **** behind the wheel. Took me one more write off in my second car (1980 Mk2 Escort RWD) six months later to get me to realise that I should get some experience behind the wheel before trying to drive like I was. That was 15 years ago and touch wood, no accidents since. Knowing how I was as a young man I'm glad my dad never let me spend my hard earned cash on anything more flash as my first car.

Make: Opel (Vauxhall)

This is a similar one, mine was silver originally but in the end turned to brown due to rust :p

Bought 20 years ago as a restoration program. Unfortunately it didn't make it back to concours condition. :(

Make : VW
Model : 1982 Golf 1.6 GTI (even remember the reg! YPP690X) wonder what happened to it?
Cost : If I recall, I paid about 2k for it, was my uncles company car for a few years, then he purchased it from the company and garaged it for a few years, then I had it from Him.

Have to say, was a fantastic car, and if I could justify another car on the drive, I would probably go get another.

I wanted a Ferrari as a first car, but as soon as I figured I needed to win the lottery before that will happen I decided to drive other cars in the meantime :D

Hmmm, Gemballa 911, did it have two Turbo's and >600bhp?

Why? not exactly difficult to find out how much a 911 is worth :D

ok find me a gemballa gt coupe (based on 996) for sale . . . . . . . . even one supplied as parts only will do. lhd or rhd, im easy.

also for the dutch guy, no its not the 997 GT that is in all the magazines and on the web over the past few weeks, its the older one from 2001, not as fast, not as trick, not turbo. the new one is amazing though, , , , , , , I think GT3RS (or CS mabe) or GT2 will be next though.
