YOUR Game of the Year 2023

For 2023??? We have to play a game for that then... Here we go

Forspoken - Broken on release
Dead Space - Broken on release
Company of Heroes 3 - Not even a full game on release
KSP2 - Buggy mess
RE4 - Doesn't count, it's a remaster
TLOU pt1 - Doesn't count, it's a remaster
Dead Island 2 - Broken on release
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor - Broken on release (and still broken?)
Redfall - Broken
SF6 - unfinished
Diablo 4 - Absolute joke of a release
BG3 - Act 3 totally unfinished on 'full release'
AC6 - Ooooo, a good one! Maybe this will be my game of the year?
Starfield - An absolute joke
AC Mirage - Broken
Cities: Skylines 2 - Beyond broken, literally unplayable for most on release

I can keep going, but as you can see from the games I was excited for, I can't really pick as I only have 1 option.

Gaming is just an absolute cess pit of **** these days, what a shame.
I think you may need to give up on AAA games for a bit.

Go play Cocoon or Jusant.

Does RoboCop count?, if not, TLOU.

I did consider voting for Load screen simulator Starfield, but as i'm not a retarded gibbon* with the IQ of a parsnip and the fact that it's the very meaning of disappointment, I won't

*I am

Diablo for me - it's got loads of problems and needs lots of quality of life fixes but I've played it every day since release and enjoyed it, which is amazing as I'm not the biggest fan of top down Arpgs.

Secondly Last of Us Left Behind expansion

uh if we're allowed indy early access games then Halls of Torment, favourite of that style. For larger budget it's probably Armoured Core 6 or Robocop

Probably the worst year ever for games releases, publishers are going to kill their own industry at the rate their going.

BG 3 will probably be regarded as one of the greatest games of all time, there were plenty of other good titles too outside of PC and on it. There have been far, far worse years.

I wonder how long it will take for it to drop to £35. Larian usually take their time. Q1 next year or Q2?

No early access titles of any sort, indy or mainstream...not for this list at least. AC6 and Robocop would be accepted but you'll need to pick one of the two :D

Baldur's Gate 3 was a big shock and not the type of game I would normally play but I loved it and still playing it . Another one is Cyberpunk its so good now after all the problems have been fixed.

As I'm not 'allowed' to vote for what I want :p
I'll go for Phantom Liberty, as that genuinely surprised me and I enjoyed it a LOT more than the original, and that I thought I would, having done the OG already. Felt big enough for a DLC, and more like an average length decent main game tbf, yet wasn't slow to go anywhere then ends once you're getting into it, like the OG was main story mission wise...
